I want to pick them up but it's still too much. I'm waiting for them to fall to $1 or $2.

I think it's going to come down to asking yourself if you'd purchase the same moment in physical card form for the same price.


As an owner of an S1 Christian Wood /3300 that has seen his investment go from 400 ---> 8x....I can honestly say I probably wouldn't even pay $80 for it if I were just entering the market now. Simply too many copies available for b and c level names that I can foresee prices on majority of them going even lower as newer moments flood the market.

It was amazing to see all these big holders with $portfolios at the top, tweet and IG about 'huge opportunity, bros!' & 'diamond hands,' and 'rocket to the moon,' [gif] but then you look at the blockchain and ~90% of them were selling out as fast as they could.

It's like they somehow forgot that information was totally public. Shrug.

The $1 ones wont happen until after the Series 1 packs are exhausted. $2 Moments might be more common by the end of the month.

They're the smart one's...they passed the bag on. That's why grade and others kept posting at the very beginning (and deleted their traces later on). More transparent than the aluminum that helped bring the well back to San Francisco!

I feel like I'm the most leveled person on here about Top Shot...

I didn't get in too early. I didn't get in too late.

Never had illusions of getting rich off of this....I deposited a modest 3 figure sum, have profited about $1,000, and had 40-50 total moments left to show for it.

I'm now doing it for the fun as much as profit. It could go up, it could go down... I'm fine either way. Since opening real packs is a thing of the past for me, settling for the rush of opening a TopShot pack isn't a bad consolation prize. And if I can make $150 doing it by pulling a Jordan Clarkson /35000, all the better.

Absolutely. That's where I'm going with this. Only guys I've been picking up lately are P-Will and Haliburton as I'm high on them and think their market cap makes sense and their prices can increase next season.

Besides that, long term I just want to have a Bulls showcase along with some other guys I collect (Giannis, Zion). But I'm not paying more than $2 for Garrett Temple or Tomas Satoransky, even if there are only 4000 copies or so. Yes, I've paid more for some Bulls moments but that was more of an anxiety buy than anything.

I'm not sure I believe that you have done all the research that would be required to determine anything close to this. If 90% of the early adopters cashed out that rapidly the top end of the market would have collapsed which didn't really ever happen.

Can you post where got this 90% figure?

The Clarkson is a perfect example why this is crazy.

Paying premiums for rookies and stars makes sense. But I just can't see a market where holding a Jordan Clarkson moment long term for 3 figures makes any sense.

This is where you are 10000% wrong. I got booted a few times from the TS discord for questioning them in Feb. about the devaluation and withdraws.

I Stop posting here because i do not believe in the direction TS is going. Still have alot of moments and took out some money, left the rest to ride like i do with all other investments. TopShot is no different, make money, take initial investment and let the rest ride and hope 1 out of 100 hits big.

TS still like any other investment, risk, reward, good and bad.

Opinion: Neutral right now.

I'll hold all the top 10 level guys or flip and buy in to better moments of the same guys.

Goal is to own a Luka Game winner vs the Clips.

I'd also love a Zion S1 block. I want to work my way up to those though, not just fork out the $$$.

I still think this is fun and seeing the same faeces spewing from the mouths of the fools like riflemon and a couple of others just makes me Lol every time.

Almost exactly my view and current situation. Bought a few packs in in February and spent out of pocket under $200 for those packs. Made over 2K in Dapper balance (peanuts compared to what others have made). Bought a LE Zion for $140 and cashed out on the rest of my dapper balance while leaving enough to buy more packs. Have been buying moments here and there with the marketplace dip. I'm holding everything I have now (only around 30 moments) and moving forward with buying packs, creating showcases and actually enjoying growing my top shot collection. I'm not overly concerned with the direction of Top Shot nor am I concerned with -/+ EV at this point. To each their own I guess. Seems like a waste to spend more than a few minutes griping on a forum on why you don't like something.
