calls go bad for both sides every time. Doesn't make it hurt less. I was rooting for tech but not super invested. I thought the biggest issue was virginia getting 2 free throws for tripping over his own teammate. That cut it to 1 in OT. Less than 1 minute later you have the reviewed out of bounds call. When you have 2 back to back it definitely stings.

There was no missed flagrant foul. Watch the replay. There was a missed double dribble. You got lucky.

People are so salty!

UVa is the champion. The team that was built cleanly. The team that plays defense. That kills you guys. And I love it!

Let’s not forget a few years ago when the NCAA changed the shot clock from 35 to 30 seconds to try to inflict harm to our brand of basketball.

Might want to rewatch again as officials caught it and ESPN analysts saw it and admitted it Monday.

I’ve acknowledged multiple times that UVA are the champs and should be celebrated as such. Maybe it’s the former part time ref in me but I’m just pointing out that they got lucky with the missed call in the auburn game. Fans trying to make excuses for that is annoying. Nothing wrong with admitting you got lucky and dodged a bullet there. Almost every championship team gets a lucky bounce in one way or another. I had nothing riding on the game; no money and no fandom. Some UVA fans still feel the need to argue that missed call when they should just be celebrating their championship

Am celebrating the title and the facts, referee supervisors showed there was luck on both ends in that situation.

Link me to the story. Absolutely no is saying that and I’ve looked for someone to publish a story online backing your claim. I’ve watched multiple times and there is no flagrant foul. There could have been a non shooting foul called but that’s debatable. Auburn had fouls to give if I remember correctly so it’s side out not two and the ball. You got lucky

The ref in you should acknowledge that missed calls went both ways that game.

Go Hoos!!!

Refs miss calls all the time but there was absolutely no flagrant foul missed. That’s ridiculous. If you said there was a missed reach in foul I could have acknowledged you had something.

Go back and watch pregame ESPN show. There was a jersey grab that according to former college head of officials would have been a flagrant. I’ll take him and the former college coaches saying it was. Two non-calls, one for each team, didn’t make a difference.

Of course there was but we were specifically taking about this one missed call. I know there is gonna be missed calls that’s why I won’t say anything like UVA doesn’t deserve to be champs because they are. I’m just claiming I’m regards to that missed call at the end of the auburn game. They got lucky. It was a double dribble and the refs had position to see it. That’s all I’m debating. If UVA fans can’t admit that then they are a little delusional lol

It needs to be excessive holding or pulling of the jersey to be a flagrant my friend. Unfortunately I missed the pregame and most of the first half so I heard nothing about a missed flagrant. I know jay bilas and Dick Vitale both brushed off the possibility that it was a flagrant and agreed with my position that potentially a common foul may have been missed

Two calls were missed, one for each team, refs dont always get it right. On air on Fox and ESPN Conference Referee Supervisors agreed that after further review it was not a common foul.

Doesnt matter.

UVA finished and other teams didnt. Moving on.

Congratulations to UVA and their fans for a well deserved title. Blowout never disappoints with all the trolls crying about the refs because they are jealous their team didn't win.

Lol okay well debate on the call in the auburn game (I’m sure me and cavscards could debate that until the end of time) aside congrats to UVA and their fans. You guys are the champs today and no debate on a call should ever diminish that haha. Soak it in as championships are very very hard to win.

FYI I don’t really have a team lol I’m not an alumni (of an American school) or have geographical allegiance to any team lol I cheer for Canadian players, good basketball and hate duke lol

But that’s why it’s pointless to discuss.

You name a play where there’s a missed call. I name a play where there’s a missed call. We can go on and on.

Here you go,

Yeah kinda weird to dwell on perceived missed calls, etc. Those things never truly decide outcomes. I could go back to any big game throughout sports history and point out things like that. At the end of the day most will be forgotten because they aren't really that important. To keep harping on it is to miss the point.

Everyone has. If they don't get it they don't know sports.
