It appears that Topps takes some of their mini framed autos and puts them into the Ginter rip cards (without a frame). I noticed that there is no distinction on the checklist or pop report between the ones with frames and the ones without. They're all just listed as framed, despite coming without a frame from the manufacturer. There is only 1 card number. I looked this card over again and there is absolutely no way its even remotely close to a 5. Only thing I can think is PSA thinks I removed the frame from this card myself and docked me for it.

I suspect that if they thought you had altered the card like that, they would have refused to grade it on account of it being altered... but who knows?

You would think so, but at the same time if they look up the card number on the checklist it's called a Mini-Framed auto so I could see where they would expect it to be framed.

I'm just baffled. The card is not even remotely close to a 5. I know everybody always thinks PSA is wrong when they get a lower grade than they expect, but this is clear as day not a 5. I've been surprised by a couple grades in the past and I've always been able to figure out what I missed on the initial review once I receive it back. I just cant find anything whatsoever with this card.

Just had my order of six cards go from Grading, where they sat for a little over a month, to Assembly yesterday, and they're already in QA Check 1 less than 24 hours later. Seems really fast.

When would I expect to see upcharges, if they occur?

My order of six cards has moved from Grading to Assembly yesterday, to QA Check 1 today, and is now already in QA Check 2 today.

Well whatever the bottleneck with dual grading was they've apparently fixed it. I sent in a 2 card regular order, received 6/16 and the grades just popped. Of course the 2 card express dual grade order they got the same day is still in QA1, but still can't complain about the speed.

Nice, maybe my 5/3/21 will move soon, been in assembly for months. My 5/5 Economy is in QA2, I'm sure it will be disappointing as is everything else lately.

I've given up on trying to understand. 5 orders, all arrived and entered the same day (5/10), all econ, all single service. Four of them (20, 20, 20, 12 cards) finally reached QA1 (or even QA2!) this week. One (12 cards) is still in Research & ID. Who knows...

Crossover order jumped from Assembly to QA2 throughout today. The grade lookup trick doesn't work for crossover, correct?

Two of the 20-card orders got their green checkmarks today. The other 20 and a 12 still in QA2, so hopefully they pop tomorrow.

I'll wait and see the grades on them all when they get back to me.

I may call at some point and ask if there's an issue with the one that's still in R&ID, just to see if they're able to tell me anything.
