Jared - the birthday for Madlock is incorrect. His correct birthday is January 12, 1951. I have no idea where Topps got December 23, 1983.

As a Pirates fan, I'm extremely happy to see Madlock in the black and gold as opposed to another uniform. Of course, it helps that the artwork is gorgeous as well!

The black and gold really makes the portrait pop.

I've never completely understood why Topps ever cancelled the LS subscriptions in the first place. I'll be sure to relay the interest in its return.

Would be super cool to see one or two players from the very beginning of baseball make an appearance during the offseason. Pretty please!!!

Cap Anson and King Kelly would be good inclusions. Both Hall of Famers, too.

I love seeing the Negro Leagues show up in the set again, and Buck Leonard is more than deserving. But wouldn’t Turkey Stearns have been the obvious choice, today of all days?

Buck Leonard is an awesome addition to the Living set. Jared has brought another beauty into the set. It may be a coincidence, but today (11/27) marks the anniversary of Buck's death. 27 years after he left us, topps has given him back to us. Thank you for that.

We finally get another Rockies player! Hopefully it's not another 1.5 year+ wait until another one (preferably Ezequiel Tovar). Also hoping to get a Ronel Blanco before the end of the year to get one Astro in for 2024.

I'm curious if Topps is going to use a black nameplate for all Negro League players.
The Homestead Grays were part of the Negro National League II, while the Birmingham Black Barons were part of the Negro American League, but all three players have been featured with black nameplates.

![]() During this season of gratitude, I want to let you all know how grateful I am to be able to work on this set and to interact with you on a weekly bases. I'm very fortunate to work with a great crew in the Topps Living Set staff, a truly amazing artist and friend in Angel Aviles, and to know many of you over the last 4 years. I hope for at least another 4 years, equally as thrilling and fun as the previous. Lastly, I wanted to let everyone know that I've decided to run another 50% off sale on my site. Beginning Friday (Nov.29) and running thru New Year's Day, everything will be half off except for pre-sale items. I'm still trying to clear the backlog of my artist-signed cards and I'd love to get rid of as much old inventory as possible before 2025. The last batch of artist-signed cards I'll be able to assemble this year include: Jasson Dominguez, Lawrence Butler, Brent Rooker, Andy Pages, Barry Larkin, Lee Smith, Ron Santo, Bill Mazeroski, Juan Marichal, and Andrew McCutchen. All of them will be included in the end of year sale, so it's a great time to add some hall of famers and rookies to your artist-signed collections. Thanks again for all the fun this group bring to collecting the Living Set. I hope you are all well and happy with family and friends this Thanksgiving. |

I hate myself for not feeding this suggestion to Topps already. Let's shoot for next year. Great idea!

This is in very poor taste, as unfortunately, Turkey himself was eaten by a bear on Thanksgiving day, 1979.
I'd like to speak to the Topps Living Set manager, please. Wow, it'll be 7 years in March for the Living Set. What a treat this has been from the very start. I've never considered for a moment not getting each week's new cards. Thank you to Jared, Angel, and Mayumi Seto, just an incredible trio of artists! I enjoy baseball cards, but my first love is non-sport cards, which these also are in a sense. The quality of the artwork is such that, taken together, it qualifies as an upper echelon art card set, the likes of which have been issued showcasing the works of Frazetta, Wrightson, and the Hildebrandts, to name a few. I feel very lucky to have one of the 1,200 or so Living Sets that can ever be assembled.
