It's a strange dynamic, isn't it? I often root for players I like to have initial failure at the MLB level so I can have a year of buying their best rookie cards at near common level.

After I sold my 10 a lonnnngggg time ago, I bought two of the nicest raw copies I could find. I thought this one had a shot at a 10. I still think it looks better than some 10s that show more white on an upper corner.

Lol this happens literally every time. Someone says "I'm DEFINITELY a buyer if it drops to this price, that would be way too cheap!" and then it drops to that price and then it turns into "well another 10% drop and I'm in". Rinse and repeat and then the trigger isn't pulled until it starts going back up

I've bought two TCU PSA-10s and two BGS-10s on the way down so far. But the Gold....that freefall is something to behold. One has to wonder, where was the runner-up bidder in the subsequent auctions...

$2771 -- I was 3rd highest bidder at $1979. I think it was the night before that the one guy sold his for $2700 on myslabs, so I knew I wasn't likely to be close, but sub-2k was the hope.

$2431 -- previous winner is runner up. The top two bidders switched places on this one.

$2050 -- 4th place the day before takes this one. The previous 2 winners are out.

Current auction at $1580, led by the winner of the last one. I'll be watching...

Anyone just want to sell me one for $1800

I would be surprised if the PSA 10 Gold goes all that much lower. Few copies on the market and Soto's going to have a higher floor than you'd expect because of how few rookies he has. If he had Acuna or Tatis' number of rookies I'd say look out below
