How? The print run is determined based on how many purchases of a particular card is ordered through the Topps website.

When are new ones released? They are released around 12 PM EST daily... give or take a little bit of time.
Thanks. I meant “how” as in where is it posted? Email, Topps website etc

A list of the best movers shows that most people in this game aren’t looking for a Baller Ichiro. They’re looking for somewhat low print run cards that are affordable and look good or different!
Becks Gibby is just gorgeous!

lol its sort of hard to see a BIG move from $4,500......

Ichiro Baller still has a HIGH floor at around 4k though

It went from 2-4K in less than a day.
I’m not saying it’s gonna fall off the table just making the point that Beck/Gibson’s are similar to US175 Trout.

When Trout 09BC Autos took off and were sitting in a land of nearly brand new economy cars, suddenly US175 looked very appealing. So it takes off. When they become unattainable for the average Joe, 2011 Finest or whatever will take off.

Just my perspective of this thing. But trying to make sense of this product seems futile.

Every day this phenomenon continues to amaze me...
I plan to list my last 3 Blake Jamieson Nolan Ryans (#18) today.
I somehow wish I could mark the cards with a magical tracker to see if the card is flipped, how many times flipped, kept in PC. (yeah I could follow the buyers and scan any future sales, but come on...)
I have zero animosity towards flippers, its just for curiosity... like tracking down what happened to your first car (assuming you left it in good shape).
I'm the original purchaser but by reselling part of my order I am a "flipper" of sorts... thus any hate would be hypocritical.
Ideally I hope every card I sell finds a home where its held and cherished, but even with best intentions a collector's situations change.
IMO - beyond the money to be made the coolest thing is the possibility of bringing non-collectors into the hobby. More appreciation of collecting benefits everyone.

I think we are beginning to see the start of a leveling off period. I’m not saying by any means that cards will necessarily go down or there won’t be any huge gains going forward, because there will. As long as new buyers continue to be confused how to buy from Topps directly, the PR won’t go to the moon and every card will still have a healthy gain. But I think we are approaching the level where average investors start getting less comfortable with paying MORE than low 4 figures for low PR and a couple hundred for popular artists/players with higher print runs.

This is a good thing and hopefully paces the market for the full run of the project.

Which would make sense. Trout US175 is a singular card. Project 2020 is what around 80 different cards so far?!! Do you think one singular card in the set is doing more volume than US175? I dont know. I havent looked.

Thank you! This is what I was trying to say but apparently didn't communicate my thoughts well.

Gone are the days of strolling eBay and finding 2500PR cards for $50. THAT was the thrill that drove this thing for many and then if went poof a couple days ago.

A few things... basically a lot of the lower print runs are low because the interest level in that card was well, low at the time. Now those cards have ended up jumping in value with all the boom. When is the last time that something like this happened? How sustainable is that?

Print runs are going to jump very soon and there is going to be a large gap between the print runs on newer cards and the initial cards they released. Are those cards with the lower print runs going to jump in value or are people going to realize that we have a lot more cards coming that they can get at cheaper prices if they're collecting. I'd assume this low PR cards all end up jumping in value and being worth something decent, but who knows.

From what I see, they may stabilize for a while and shoot back up again

Probably could have held off on the baller trout I picked up yesterday. Was going to use that as a flip to cover costs on lower pr card I picked up.

I really just want my Taylor Henderson to update to in transit. The seller has been selling a lot of this stuff and has perfect feedback so I probably shouldn't worry. Both my Baller and Rochester Thomas updated so there's that. I emailed the seller and got no response. I mentioned that I am planning to visit family which I havent' seen for 3 months for an extended period, but I don't want to put a hold on my mail with all this stuff coming.
