If his teammates would make more shots on a consistent basis he'd be a triple double machine. Decent chance for one tonight after 1st quarter. 5-4-3

24-8-5 not bad, not great. Kind of crazy when that seems like an off night.

Carlisle sat him out in the 4th until 4 mins left. Had to preserve that loss

He had a really good 4th quarter some shots started going down. This was the first time I've seen him in person I can see why they traded for Porzingis. They are gonna be a fun watch next season.

Hopefully the Unicorn comes back 100% next year. Those two will be dangerous together.

Tim Hardaway Jr missed at least 3 wide open corner 3’s. I thought Luka
getting him open looks would help his %’s but he is just a volume shooter

If you guys have 10 mins, here is a nice video breaking down Luka’s game. Just found this guy in youtube, his other videos are pretty good.

Was just looking at the standings again and reading about the lottery. I had to refresh my memory because i couldn't remember exactly how it worked.

They only do the lottery for the first 4 teams, 1-4. Any team can get a top 4 spot that's in the lottery. After the first 4 teams are decided in order it then it goes in tradition order 5-14, worst record to best record.

Here is a neat chart i found. I don't think it's updated from tonight's games because Memphis won which now puts Dallas and them in a tie at the 6th spot with 27 wins each.

I think that's about the best spot they could finish realistically unless the Hawks start winning a bunch of games. ATL currently has 22 wins in the 5th position.

Remember, Dallas traded their first round pick to ATL this year unless it's a top 5 pick. So basically what that means is if they end up in the 6th position they're hoping to move up at least one spot with some lottery luck in order to keep their pick. Eventually it will convey but im sure they'd love to have a top 5 pick this year.

Thanks, I have watched it before. It is a good one. I own his cards and hence did not want to post the video link here since others will think that I am pumping

Luka just drew a charge on Harden in the first 20 seconds of the 3rd. 5 fouls.

Harden is usually the best at drawing fouls. Luka's pretty good himself. I see a lot of Harden in Luka.

Teammates are horrible shooting the ball on his passes. I bet they're only shooting 20%. Terrible.

19-15-9 performance

Just missed it

Hope his knee is alright. Kept grabbing it the last couple minutes of the game but wouldn't come out.

Hope it's nothing.

"Doncic briefly went back to the locker room, but returned and kept playing through the injury. "I just felt a 'pop,' " Doncic said. "We'll see." The Mavs will re-evaluate Doncic on Monday"."

They are trying to lose games anyhow, so my guess is they're going to shut him down regardless of what is actually going on with the knee

DALLAS – Luka Doncic will be listed as questionable for Tuesday’s game against the San Antonio Spurs with a mild left knee strain.

However, the rookie from Slovenia was limited in Monday’s practice.

“He’s a maybe,” coach Rick Carlisle said. “He’ll be listed as questionable with what we consider a mild knee strain.”

I guess it's not too bad so that's good news. Watching the game i was like what's going on? He was limping up and down the court and then he was ok for a minute and then he'd do it again and grab his knee. He's tough though and got a lot of heart. He did not want to come out of that game. You'd think he was playing game 7 of the finals. He was really disappointed after the loss. He sat on the bench all by himself with his head hung low. You can tell he really hates losing. Got to love that competitive spirit.

I wish players on my Celtics team cared that much about losing.

Might be time to sit a few games. I think he was questionable with an injury today...

1-7 from 3

1-9 from FT

9 turnovers

The kid is special...but if ur injured... ur only hurting your team.

I agree. He was playing hurt out there tonight you could see it. I know he want's to play but it's in the teams best interest for him to remain healthy. Watching the game the other night i actually feared he might of tore his ACL/MCL. A loud pop limping and grabbing your knee is not normal. He needs to sit for awhile. It's not worth risking his future.

The Big Data Behind the NBA’s Next Big Thing
Luka Doncic started traveling halfway across the world to study his biomechanics long before he came to the NBA. Now he’s the league’s star rookie—and the face of the NBA’s data generation.......

The star rookie learned in his trips here that he didn’t jump very high or move very quickly from side to side. But he did have one hidden athletic talent that explained his unstoppable moves. It turned out Doncic was a young James Harden.

Harden ranks in the 99th percentile of NBA players in a metric called “eccentric force,”
