Potential top 10 player in the league imo. I think he will be reaching current Tatum pricing within a year. Again, just be opinion.

This is a guy who is almost 7 feet tall, bombs 3's, and plays great defense. Obvious hold candidate given the inflated market prices on everything.

Does anybody collect a player for the long haul because they actually just like that player or is that collecting attribute extinct?

To each their own, especially with the crazy prices today. I still have my Archie Goodwin supercollection. I started my JJJ collection thinking about flipping at some point, but he's become my favorite active player, and I go out of my way to watch the Grizz games when I can.

This is sweet! I'll post my collection in a bit once, the Chronicles Classic might be my favorite card and I think I spent $5 on it back in December.

Thanks - just updated w/ a link to my main JJJ thread on here (which has a photo of my then-11-year old being dwarfed by the 7-footer LOL).

Great progress! I picked up a ton of JJJ Chronicles on COMC over the past year. Most of his cards were $0.25-$0.50 for the longest time. My sons aren't quite old enough, or interested, to start a player collection yet, but I'm looking forward to the day. The only cards I've bought for my 6 year-old were the 2013 Topps Allen & Ginter's One Little Corner Space insert set (since 2, that's been his favorite subject). Maybe he'll take to Space Jam...

Fantastic collection! I wish Panini would put out a standalone Classics set with on-card autographs. That would really stand out amongst their current line-up of products.

Nice JJJs! I also buy/collect vinyl records, but mainly of post-punk & hardcore bands that play to 25 people. Some get bigger, but I really just collect what I listen to.

Yeah - I really tried to keep the vinyl to a very specific segment (live stuff of bands my family listens to/travels for that doesn't exist digitally) but that quickly went out the window.

Now it's blossoming into a much bigger collection of stuff that's basically an equally as expensive hobby as cards that takes up MUCH more room in our house LOL...at least we all enjoy it though.

Wow. Thanks for sharing these gifs.

This is JJJ opening his own eyes and realizing no one can stop me! The second gif reminds me a lot of Durant. I want to say he could look a little like Giannis going downhill, but JJJ lacks the power with his finish. It’s possible in a couple more years he could get there if he bulks up and stays healthy.

Looking at these two gifs, it’s very telling JJJ is way more than just a 3-and-D guy.

Also, straight up fire on this thread! Keep showing off those JJJ’s!

Here are some more of my other JJJ:

I may go back and look at Giannis video when he was 20 because he wasn't quite the specimen he is today, but I always thought he was known for being explosive. JJJ may have to work at it a bit more, but if he keeps launching 15 3-pointers/game (and improving), it may not matter that much.

This guy literally takes one dribble at the 3pt line and with 2 steps he's underneath the basket lol

3 point shooters can be streaky. My hope is that he expands his offensive arsenal when his shot isn’t falling. He certainly looks like he is better at creating his own shot this year.

If he can improve his playmaking and his rebounding, this guy can be a perennial all-star, all-nba caliber player.

I've watched him on and off for a bit. He has some good post moves for a youngster, especially facing the basket. Those gifs above though are next level, especially the bottom one.

Ja clawed the team back within striking distance, then JJJ tied it up with 10 seconds left. The level of difficulty on this shot was unreal.

Damn. Tough news. Hopefully nothing more serious than a meniscus tear. He was really coming on strong.
