My guess is that they'll launch an app soon, similar to SNKR -- selling through an app has a lot of benefits for bot detection and blocking, in addition to a ton of other things for ecommerce like the ability to send push notifications, collect more data about loyal customers, etc.

The fact that they seem to be not investing at all in the website is a clue that they are putting their resources somewhere else, which could be an app.

Or, maybe, they don't care because they sell out anyway -- but if I were betting on it I'd guess there will be an app launched, which would probably good for all of us who want to help defeat bots.

On major releases a different, stripped down version of the site should load with only that product and an account log in (if you're not logged in already). No separate pages/loads for shipping and payment. Same flat shipping cost for all. If you have a preferred address and a cc on file... one click ordering.

It' not a space shuttle launch. Lots of companies have solved the Rubik's Cube!
Every release for anything with secondary value crashes just about any website. If you only shop on Topps for popular items then just know this happens EVERYWHERE. Bots eat everything everywhere, manual is always possible you just have to be persistent and know when to reload pages and when to have patience.

Default I'd love that

A massive upgrade to the Topps App would be incredible. You could as well tie it into Bunt and do some really fun things.

I don't mean these:
https://www.topps.com/topps-apps

Is there an app to purchase the same inventory as the website?

Ah, right. Found it here: https://apps.apple.com/us/app/topps-shop/id1454718200

I don't have an iPhone, there's not an Android equivalent.

Well it should be upgraded, then, there are definitely things they could be doing.

Not sure if others have had luck on the app, but in my experience it has crashed too.

I just refreshed and got a weird message about making sure I'm not a bot.

It made me drag a puzzle piece to the empty spot.

I wasn't smashing F5 either, just hit it once. I wonder if this will cause a hiccup to bots constantly refreshing?

Why is everyone so sure this is coming out today? I haven't seen an email from Topps or a post on twitter or instagram from Topps.
