Print runs are up. 5,266 for the latest Hamilton is high, but 1,348 for Lance Stroll is much, much higher compared to likely demand. Speculators aren't gonna do well flipping Lance Stroll cards (I actually have a lot of respect for his driving, to be clear).
PR: 13. Lewis Hamilton - 5,266 14. Sergio Perez - 1,262 15. Sebastian Vettel - 1,650 16. Lance Stroll - 1,348 If Hamilton's problem is that he wins so much that there are a lot of Topps Now cards for him, then his cards should have even more long-term appeal. If he wins 40 races in the next three years, I can't see how that hurts his card values. It just makes the argument that he's the GOAT completely unambiguous. Two more races. Hamilton could hit 100 Poles this year if he gets Pole in both (far from guaranteed). Schumacher and Senna, #2 and 3 on the all time list, have 68 and 65. |

Hamilton tested positive for COVID-19, so he's out for the next race. Unfortunate way to close out a bunch of his consecutive race tallies. Hope he recovers quickly and can race in Abu Dhabi.
Should be interesting to see who ends up in his seat this week. High stakes getting in the best car on the grid. |

3 is going bonkers. The follow up will be the next to get some run after 3 gets unaffordable. This one is almost double that print run...will be a long time. Good stash still...but will be a while. Outlying factor right now is Dynasty releasing in 2 weeks. Were going to see where the F1 Market is. If a raw Topps now card with a 1600 print run is worth $250. Whats a Hamilton Firesuit Auto #/10 worth? $3k-4k? Will be VERY interesting.

Chrome Hamilton auto will be THE card.
Chrome autos will be THE card for all the drivers. Take a look at Topps UFC Series 1 box prices. This has more potential. |

Any idea when chrome will come to the UK? And will boxes be available to buy from the Topps EU website?

When do the Topps NOW usually come out? I'm guessing since we have back to back races at Bahrain we will only get 1 set?

When #3 gets too expensive, does it make sense for #6 or #9 to be next in line?
Who wants a record-tying card when there is a record-breaking card? |

Additionally, the first pack issued cards (Dynasty and Chrome) will have as much or more demand than #3 and far greater appeal than any other Topps Now cards issued. |

The only card that I think is an obvious winner is whatever Hamilton's main Chrome driver card turns out to be. I didn't think that any of these would be significantly above $10-20 this quickly and 2-4 are selling WAY higher than everything else.
Looking at the set's "sleepers" so far; Bottas #5 and Sergio Perez #10 are the low print runs, Ricciardo #12 is an iconic card for one of the most popular drivers on the grid, Hamilton #6 has the face mask and the Schumacher helmet and #13 is a great celebration pose. I think Topps Now is a great product for F1. It would be nice if Topps could offer some sort of season package next year where single card buyers weren't so badly penalized. $4-10 per card is a ridiculous range. |

I don't think we'll see a spike in Lewis' other Topps Now cards especially with Topps Chrome coming out soon. The eyeballs and money will shift there.

No its not lol. Its print run is quadruple 3 and nearly double his record tying and breaking win cards. Sorry youre invested---but its currently by far the highest printed and available card, and if any others take off it will likely be in order of print run. Look at past Topps Now release in other sports as a reference.

As I said on one of the bigger F1 forums today in a discussion about cards.....the people sleeping on Dynasty couldn't afford it, or wanted to get in too late. Topps Chrome will provide a more affordable outlet (still pricey in my mind). Everything in my gut says these Dynasty cards being, high end, first release, first autos etc are going to go bonkers if the Hamilton #3 card is any indication---and they have a few months of literally being the only non Topps now current F1 card on the market.

I wouldn't be as concerned about print runs, yes its 4x 3 but this year alone has seen an influx in card collectors and interest and I imagine 3-5 years from now the market growth will continue on this upward trajectory. I was not considering Dynasty and Chrome, only the Now cards. I would be inclined to agree Dynasty and Chrome will likely be higher in the pecking order than 13 yes. |

Hey guys just spent a while catching up on the whole thread. I just started collecting these cards. Pretty excited about it because I am a F1 fan.
If anyone is willing to sell some cards to me, let me know please! I want a few of the early ones that I missed out on because I didn't know they were a thing at the time lol. This weekend is going to be exciting. With Lewis out and his seat taken by George, the competition should be good from Mercedes and Redbull. Also interesting that two F2 drivers have a seat in the race with Haas and Williams. |

Welcome, koolick. Nice to see more California F1 followers! It's tough to have to choose between waking up for a 5 AM race on Sunday and avoiding all social media until I can catch up.
For a season that was decided with three races left, 2020 has had a lot of unpredictability. The Netflix show is gonna have a lot to work with for this coming season (which should be great for the long-term appeal of the Topps Now cards, where the events might actually mean something to people who aren't following as they happen). |

Thanks! I know its funny they are on at 5 am for us. I wait because I have now trained my self to avoid all social media until I watch, lol.
Man F1 Drive to Survive is crazy good. For sure bringing more attention to the sport. Which helps with the card market. Plus, although I watch every possible minute of F1 content as possible (race weekends, interviews, behind the scenes, McLaren Unboxes and others) it still brings in new content and other aspects of the sport that aren't seen anywhere else. |

I came here to ask the same thing. Is one race per week too much for Topps?

It is inexcusable to not produce cards for each race as the point of "Topps Now" is to document the events of each season. To skip one misses the whole idea.

Hmm, ya I get that. But they didn't start the Topps Now card till like race 8 so doesn't seem like they are going for cards for every race. Also maybe they don't want the Bahrain GP to be remembered due to the severity of the crash of Romain Grosjean?

I understand not starting prior to having the licensing deal w/ F1 (and that bothers me to have an incomplete year) but documenting each race is a hallmark of what Topps Now does.
