LOL Rodgers I think there are two choices this year he retires or goes to Denver in a trade. Many think he goes back to GB but they are cap strapped and if he returns it means more players have to get cut to afford him and I don't think he wants to return to a team that can't contend.

Vikings need to do four things.

1. Extend Cousins. Give him a hefty signing bonus (when I say hefty, I mean HEFTY) and get his annual salary down to around $20 million guaranteed a year. Signing bonus doesn't go against the cap so you could sell Cousins on this idea, especially since the signing bonus is guaranteed cash.

2. Get an offensive minded head coach in here. They do not have to be "the next up and comer", but needs to be a successful offensive mind. Doug Pederson comes to mind here. If you are going for the "home run hire", guys like Kevin O'Connel (Rams OC), Kellen Moore, and Mike McDaniel (49ers OC) should be on the list.

3. Get a VETERAN defensive coordinator. Now when I say veteran, I still think it needs to be a guy who has the willingness to adjust to the current game. Guys like Vic Fangio, Teryl Austin (Steelers defensive assistant and DB coach), Kris Richard (Saints DB coach, previously Seahawks DB coach and DC), or even our own Andre Patterson. All these names have been around the game for a long time and have had successful stints in their defensive positions.

4. KEEP Keenan McCardell as the WR's coach. He has done a phenomenal job with this crew and I think guys like KJ Osborn have really benefitted from having an experienced WR guy as their coach. Him and Andre Patterson are the two coaches on the staff I would love to have stick around.

Kevin O'Connel (Rams OC) HC

Let O'Connel and bring in his OC
Dump Hunter, Barr, Pierce but keep Smith
Restructure Kirk with huge signing bonus
Draft OL, CB and LB in that order
Pick up free agent LB and OL
Keep McCardell and Patterson as coaches
