Yes, I agree, that was a very good deal as well and I almost pulled the trigger on that one. Just went with the tins as I felt it was a bit better deal at the original pricing. But, really couldn't go wrong with either at the initial sale prices.

Seems like each time a product goes out of stock, they adjust the price higher when it comes back in-stock. The tins went from $200 to $250 the next time they were in-stock. Didn't realize they were now up to $350.

Seriously not taking anything away from CMD, he is obviously an amazing player but I agree with a lot of the Twitter posts about a lot of these goals happening in part because of some really crappy defense. Ive yet to see anything from CMD that compares to Ovie’s goal he scored on his back or Sid’s one handed roofer.

The 2 goals he scored this season are better than those 2 to me. He beats 4 defenders and then 3 defenders. And yeah it looks like bad defense because it's Connor freaking McDavid they are defending.

These recent highlight goals aren’t much different than things we’ve all seen Toews or Denis Savard do. Datsyuk had slicker dangles. Patrick Kane in his prime was probably a better stick handler. What sets CMD apart is he can do all this at breakneck speed, which is awesome, but I still haven’t seen anything that made me question if the laws of physics were temporarily suspended like Sid’s aforementioned roofer.

Perhaps doing something this "great" when it matters is a higher expectation for some people but since many here are part of the ribbons for everyone generation his greatness during nothing games is a huge accomplishment.

I think some guy with a last name of Perrault on the Canadiens scored a similar goal, basically one-arming a wrist shot past the goalie. Although he was standing still if I recall.

Still a nice goal by Sid, I do not contest that.

Yeah not sure what the point of bring up Ovie scoring vs the Coyotes and Sid scoring vs the Sabres is. Both great players and great goals but most highlight reel goals can be attributed to "bad defending". In reality, it's usually great players making defenders look bad.

If you don't find the stuff Connor keeps doing impressive then I'm not really sure what to say.

Alex Burrows had this great forehand-backhand-deke move where he'd drop his shoulder and lean in to a fake wrister then pull it back and back-hand roof it. Killer move that just froze many a goaltender.

Yup, the whole world knows about that goal. That is the also the sort of goal that McDavid is starting to score every season (if he isn’t already).

I honestly can’t think of any other otherworldly goals by Toews besides this one.
