I’m a bit disappointed with these sketch cards. A few more were listed on the Bay and they kind of suck. How do ‘professional’ artists put their names on such tragic works? I would be embarrassed to do so. I do however like the look of the parallels numbered out of 40 & 25.

Yeah, the sketch from my second box isn’t the best….its the mom…I think? But my auto was nice. 1/1 plate autograph of R.D. Robb

There are 5,000+ sketches for this product, man. They probably got a buck a piece for them. There's no 1 sketch per box product where there are majority banger sketches -- at least not at this price point.

I caved yesterday and bought a few boxes. I think the first sketch up from Manzoni where Ralphie has the soap in his mouth was what did it. Then I saw some of the others. Oof.

And there seem to be plenty of autos--a base Ralphie is /299, the Dual up right now is /205. Those are huge numbers. Just be patient unless you are looking specifically for lower-numbered things.

At least the autos are hard-signed. That's a big plus.

Not to drag this on, but just wanted to follow up after seeing the screen grabs.

If you go to the eBay sold listings page, and click on the listing, it does say “Seller ended the listing because it’s no longer for sale at 1:00pm” (which I assume is PST so 4:00 eastern) on the top banner. For a regular sold listing is just says “Item sold at X time”. So it appears there could be truth about that ending the listing. Why it’s still also showing in sold listings, and also those screen grabs saying canceled, are a headscratcher. Seeing contradictory things. I don’t doubt he did end it early based on the listing saying that. But if you bought/paid for it like right at the same time, or possibly right after…somehow..(does it take a minute for a listing to actually end maybe?), it again could come down to payment processing times, and a fluke.

It’s a bummer to miss out on it, I get the frustration. There’s enough here to think what the seller is saying may still be true, that he could have ended it without knowing.

I'm sure I could find many examples if I really looked, but I've seen plenty of sold listings that were actually sold, that read “Seller ended the listing because it’s no longer for sale". But like I said, they actually sold. I've noticed tons of them the last year or so. They say they were pulled, but when I go to terapeak, I can see the item did indeed sell and the price it sold for. So that doesn't mean much - to me at least.

If he ended the listing before I bought it, then I wouldn't have been able to buy it. The sale went through. His excuse to me is nonsense and I don't believe it. I bought it seconds after he listed it, and I knew he was going to back out because I bought it so quickly. I just knew it and I said it aloud to the people sitting in the room with me at the time. And son of a gun he did. He thought he was leaving money on the table. Ironic thing is, I would've been overpaying for it the way things are looking now with sales (or lack thereof), not underpaying. But whatever. He's blocked, I will never buy from him again, and appropriate feedback will be left after 7 days.

I’m not that sure about the first part- I’m scrolling sold listings and they basically just say “Item sold at X date”…just seems pretty coincidental that particular one listing says item was ended by seller which does match what the seller is claiming.

I get your point too about the cancellation and what screenshots are showing. I’m stumped. But I would just move on. A seller on eBay cannot be forced to send an item out, even if it was cut and dried and no questions involved like there seem to be here. You’re right maybe it was paying too much anyway.

It matches because it’s true. I have no reason to lie. I will lay this out plain and simple for anyone who’s confused still. I have timestamps for every single thing. I posted on here at 3:22 about hitting the card. I took pics and went to eBay and listed the card at 3:57. After which, I noticed I had a message on here that come in at exactly 3:53 with a good offer I wanted to take it so I immediately went to eBay and ended the listing at 4:00. My guess is the buyer was literally buying almost bang bang simultaneously at the exact moment I ended the listing. I had officially ended the listing then 30 seconds later I got a notification the item sold. I messaged the buyer at exactly 4:03 politely telling them that I had actually ended the listing and I was confused as to how they were able to purchase it, but of course they forgot to mention that part. So technically they weren’t even the original buyer. I had already agreed to sell it to someone on here. That’s exactly why I hurried up and ran to eBay to end the listing. It just happened to be a fluke coincidence that they were purchasing it at the exact same time. I even posted a photo on here of a eBay customer service representative confirming that I ended the listing at 4:00 but I guess eBay is lying too and we are in cahoots. The buyer can leave all the negative feedback they want, eBay has already sided with me and told me to reach back out to them and they will have the feedback removed. End of story.

Ahhh... someone made you a good offer on here. Now the truth comes out. You just sold it on eBay, but decided to take a better offer off of eBay and back out of the sale. Got it. Great sales ethics.

My guess/speculation on print runs on the single autos from what I'm seeing...it appears there are two versions of each single autograph. The second version, which ends in number 2, is more common and #/299 for the main 6 kids and #/499 for the other four. The first versions, ending in number 1, appear to be shorter printed. Maybe 100 or less for the 6 kids, and #/199 for the other four. That's just a guess from what I'm seeing on eBay.

That would add up to around 400 autographs total (give or take) for each of the 6 kids. And 700 total autographs for each of the other four. That's around 5200 single autographs total. Plus the duals.

Zack Ward aka Scut Farkus has an auto numbered out of 85. That seems like a low number. I think our 500ish case estimate is correct as there has to be a small percentage held back for promos/contests & replacements. That’s a very low case production number for a licensed product these days.

I got a few more for this list, from my 6 boxes I opened today:

Single:
Peter Billingsley as Ralphie PB1 #/85 (bunny suit)
Dwayne McLean as Black Bart DM1 #/199

Dual:
Zack Ward and Yano Anaya ZWYA #/205

Other autos I got:
Ralphie - PB1
Male Elf - DH2
Miss Shields - TM2

The six sketches were pretty good, not great though.

I also got a printing plate and 8 numbered parallels.
