Liked the trailer but really hoping the opening credits Prologue sheds some light to explain what we're actually watching on screen as they have some major explaining to do as it'd be pretty sad if 30 years after events of ROTJ not much has really changed.

I like how Han is having to explain what happened thirty years prior. In a New Hope, he doesn't believe in the force.

I also liked that a lot. I wonder what types of things he saw Luke do during the past 3 decades.

If he did go into hiding, I'd wager it was after something went wrong with one of his students or children, so maybe he hasn't been seen for a couple of decades. I can't wait for all of our questions to be answered in a couple of months.

I really hope this one blows everyone away, I'm sick of hearing all the D-bag fans say Disney will screw up their childhood. I honestly cant think of a better company than Disney to have the rights, as long as they get the right directors they'll be fine. Just keep Michael Bay far away from them. 38 years old and I'm giddy like a kid when I saw Empire in the theater.

Trailer looks really awesome! Went to Fandango and they have tons of tickets for opening night at my theater. I have to check with the wife to make sure she doesn't want to go (I know she'll say no) before I get a ticket.

So I am guessing the lead female role finds Vaders lightsaber while searching wrecked Imperial Star Destroyer which happens to be the one that Luke used to escape the exploding death star in Return of the Jedi and sells it to the person leaving the planet we see in the trailer. That is what brings the Knights of Ren to the planet.

Either Ren will be Luke or Luke will come out at the end to stop Ren from killing someone/doing something heinous.

Okay. Ren isn't Luke. I'm guessing he's either Luke's son or Leia's son who was told stories about his grandfather and became obsessed with him.

It would make sense to be Luke's son because it would be another father-son theme for the three films.

Im guessing it's Luke's oldest son and his youngest son will eventually defeat him in episode 9. Brother battle.

I'm willing to bet that they want you to believe that Finn is the big hero but it's actually Rey who will become the Jedi who saves the day. The fact that they paired her up so closely to Kylo Ren on the poster cannot be coincidence. I just hope they don't kill off Kylo Ren in this movie and go the route of the prequels. Having a different main villain for each of the prequels was a bad move in my opinion.

I like that they are hiding Luke in pretty much every piece of marketing material. Some people are crying about it. In the day and age of trailers ruining most everything, I'm glad to see they are keeping him under wraps. You can only do a true sequel to Return of the Jedi once, I think they really have done right by the original trilogy.

Kylo is one of the Solo kids. Luke was training him to be a jedi and he became infatuated with Vader and left for the Ren. Luke feels he failed and can't come to grips with it. The other Solo kid will reluctantly embrace the force after someone dies (Luke or Leia or Han) and face Kylo in the end.
