However there are millions of high valued PSA slabs in existence, which sell for big money and give the appearance that PSA is a high quality card grader. The sales for CSG are mainly pathetic because of the $8 grading that was done with crap that even people wouldn't have sent into PSA in 2020.
The average CSG slab sale the last 30 days is $47.78.

GMA $31.21
HGA $121.72
SGC $134.66
PSA $152.64
BGS $380.66

I’m not surprised to see BGS leading the pack. I am surprised by how much though. Even more surprised by how low CSG is. 50% higher than the company that grades fakes? Damn.

I think the reason for PSA being lower is the return of 700,000 bulk slabs every month and people immediadetedly trying to sell them. BGS seems to not be scaling and not caring to grade the lower tier cards. I also think the cards BGS graded in the early 2000's are hot. They were the go to grader for LeBron rookies back then and basketball seems to be selling pretty good right now.

HGA has a lot of auto's and recent Mahomes/Herbert/Murray/etc... football cards that are selling well. Plus they are getting $30 for grading fees, so people are sending in decent stuff or really nice fakes!

Three March 2021 submissions, across three weeks, are on their way back to me as of yesterday. The Facebook mod for the bulk sub group messaged me about the poppage. Not sure what the method to their madness is for processing these things but they reached my guy in one shipment with the rest of the group.

Received - 10/12/21
Scheduled for Grading - 10/14/21

10 cards, economy.

That's got to be some sort of record.

Do we have any idea on how long something is stuck in "scheduled for grading"? My bulk went to that step on 8/16. So almost two months. I sent them an email and got a standard bulletin board reply.

There is no standard time frame for that, it's all dependent on the submission tier and their current volume. You're better off estimating from the day they marked it received and looking at the current turnaround times.

Rough count is at 117 or so business days. This puts completion around the end of the second week in November. So, maybe one more month and I will see first hand how they grade.

First perfect 10 I've seen in the wild:

It's currently up as a consignment eBay auction from COMC at ~$2800, which is freaking bonkers for a $125 card.

StarStock is offering $2 site credit per CSG slab sent in in October. CSG finally doing some marketing? I would imagine they are paying part of that, it's significantly more generous than any other StarStock promo I've seen. Nice to see CSG recongized with along with PSA/BGS/SGC on the site

Sorry I wasn't clear - it's a BIN for just under $2800. It hasn't been bid up to that level.

I picked up this perfect Soto from eBay back in July.

There are a few other perfect cards listed on eBay right now also.

Thinking about sending in a bunch of bulk slabs soon, how have you guys been liking CSG? 12 bucks right now is pretty solid for a bulk price. Have a bunch of PC/low-mid I’d like to send in. Been doing mainly SGC recently but wanna dip my
Toe into CSG. Recently bought one of their slabs and I really liked it, more than I thought I would!

I may be wrong but I remember reading that a CSG slab with no subs cannot get a 10 "perfect" and the highest a no sub slab can get is 10 "pristine". So you may very well have a 10 perfect but you won't know unless you resub with subs.

I have the most confidence in them with regards to grading versus any other TPG with the possible exception of PSA. They are reputable with coins and comics.

Slabs are really nice in hand. Good weight and appearance. Most people feel the label needs to have subgrades for it to look good.

I overlooked not including subgrades for this. I also thought it was a 9 minimum.

I heard this before, withholding a proper grade only because you didn’t pay for visible subs would be super BS.

They sent me back a 93 topps Jeter for questionable authenticity. Ummmmm, I pulled it myself, it’s definitely authentic.

IT IS TRUE. No subs, NO PERFECT 10 only 10 pristine. Same policy as CGC.

i have about 10 Pristine with no sub grades that i might send back and pay for the subs to possibly get 10 Perfect.

Hope they change that policy, it is crappy that you have to pay more for a grade that actually might be a higher grade already in reality.
