While there likely wouldn't be the return of earlier cards, I'd still figure money can be made on cards with PR's in the 40 to 50k range. Could be wrong, but I'd assume that's around how many are out there of a card like the US250 Acuna. These reach a wider audience than a typical rookie card would. Regardless it will be fascinating to follow everything.

Any chance we see Chipper on one of these? Hank Aaron? Maddux, Smoltz, or Glavine?

Yup. And considering that were only in the first 100 cards of the set, there could potentially be a lot of money to be made here

Maybe if they do a Project 2021. Not this year.

I don't think we see the total value of the current releases go from $50k last weekend to 100k this weekend, but $75k? I think it's well within reach
This is true.....if you are going to buy, Tues-Thurs is the time.....definitely heats up on the weekends, same for normal cards/releases....

When do print runs usually get released?

That's what causes the fluctuations. High PR's make people think that the money making opportunities going forward are low, and don't buy/buy less
next time bringing them back down. Rinse. Repeat.

Sustained increases after large jumps would mean it's being led by new buyers, which would be great, and is what I think we are going to see with Monday's cards at least. The rest of the week will be interesting to watch.

So let's say we have a 50-100k print run for each Ryan/Griffey.

Not the end of the world. Here's why:

Those who are buying right now are doing so with the intent to flip for $50+ in 2 days.

In 2 days, when the value of the card is $15-17 on eBay, the newbie flippers will be like, aw, to hell with this - and get out.

Next week, they're gone, and print runs are down to the low teens again.

And cards go back up.

Short term that's going to be a large reason why the PR explosive happens in the next couple weeks. Is it sustainable for all the new money/investors to buy a 10 pack every release - no. PR's will most likely go down if they do peak around 75k-100k.

Most of the people investing into the profit hype will teeter out and become collectors. There are 15 artist. There is an artist style for everyone.

It's a looooong game of cat and mouse. An unprecedented event. Nothing is out of play.

I would not be surprised at all about this, in fact, seen it happen with regular Topps Now stuff.....people that hopped in just this week aren't going to see the same love this was getting the first 70....

If the Shore/Griffey PR is 100k and the Vides/Ryan PR is 20k, people are going to be rollin in the money in the up coming weeks who had the foresight to buy Vides/Ryan.

I'm not so sure about that and will be a bit surprised if that one's PR goes above 20k. There are only 98 active presales on eBay right now.

For anyone jumping in over the weekend, they went after Griffey. An iconic card of many youths. The Ryan is "boring" and also a vintage card so it won't come anywhere near the Griffey. We'll know in a few hours and it will likely go above 20k if the Grif hits 40k.

Vides has a big following on social media and his earlier cards have held up well too, it was definitely the better play for reselling out of the two in this grouping.

The ONLY reason why I don’t have 1-80+ right now is because there were no Braves and I hated on the set for it. So dumb on my part.

Interesting theory. If there is another shortage of toilet paper, I could see people using baseball cards as toilet paper. Do you think Vides' cards in particular will be well-suited to the job given the premium Mattle-black ink over glossy trading card stock? Is it similar to the quilted effect found in premium TP?
