It's kind of a silly set, but the Bowman High Tek Black Diffractor 1/1 going for under five is a little surprising.

And uh, angels...

I get estevez has been good most of the season, but it's time to give him some time to clear his head.

If Ohtani tries to re-sign with the Angels for some reason this winter, the league should step in and veto the contract. They cannot have their best player squander the rest of his prime in Anaheim again.

I would have thought you liked both Bowman and Topps High tek. Limited print runs and very difficult to gem.

I have to admit I love both sets. I collected cards as a kid in the late 80's and early 90's and came back to the hobby like everyone else during Covid. These acetate cards blew my mind (so did the polish or chrome cards).

Not sure if I will ever be able to complete the Bowman High Tek patterns 1-8 due to scarcity/price, but I do have pattern 8,6,5,4,3. Obviously pattern 7 will cost me if I want to pursue it.

Thank you! It does appear to be a very clean 9, might look under magnification to see if I can find any apparent flaws that caused the 9 grade.

Wasn't the biggest fan due to pedigree and acetate, but I own the black diffractor now.

There are Ohtani RC cards brands that I am way higher on than most and I love the high teks. At some point pop counts will matter and people will realize that both Bowman and Topps High Tek print runs are all SP's and SSP's. I think the highest print run for the Topps High Tek pattern 1 is ~1500 and Bowman High Tek pattern 1 is ~675.

Lot of balls hit hard, tough luck babip. SB #16 helps. Can't wait till he starts driving the ball again in the air.

Too much. I would have gone to BGS if I didn't think it would 10. Would've saved thousands.

Just for future reference you don't need to get the auto graded on modern cards. Either way that's a beauty!
