100% agree to the statement above. These are assets not ‘trading cards’, at least these types of cards. Big time auction houses want them slabbed even if it gets the Authentic treatment - they’re still assets...

I sent both of these in their original sealed Panini CS holders. My intention was to show the grader that they’re “clean, untouched” from Panini. It was ballsy but the intention was good & I have a large pair.

Are you absolutely certain that PSA will grade cards that you submit this way? I was under the impression that they would not but I could definitely be wrong.

They will grade them but they will contact you first asking that they can break the Panini seal if you didn't include that in your notes in the first place upon submission.

I was going to break the seal on my Mahomes hunt dual auto /20 and get it graded. When I looked at it under 10X magnification I saw white on the back corner. I just left it in there and will leave it that way until I sell it.

They make you sign that they are not liable if they damage the card removing it from the case first.

Yes they will grade cards if sent in original Panini CS holder

Why? Some of you are way too anal about what you send in. Some white under 10x magnification on a back corner? That’s still 10 worthy. 9 at worst. You’re hurting yourself by deciding to sell raw.

Yeah, I'm leaning this way. I thought about keeping my Luka Flawless intact with the Flawless seal, but if I were a buyer and potentially willing to drop 5-6 figures on a card, I'd want to know the "third party" condition of the card.

I’ve never used a loop or magnifying glass in my life. Don’t even own such an instrument. It’s quite evident if there’s a corner, edge, surface issue when held against proper lighting.

KD that is why I am on these boards. There are those who provide great insight and help me rethink. Looks like the Mahomes will be in my next express order also.

Don’t overthink these things. Cards that should be slabbed need to be slabbed if you plan on selling. For hassle free sales and not to leave money on the table.

Agree with you and The Reverend. Plus imagine the absolute nightmare scenario if you sell it sealed and the buyer unseals it. Then decides to return it...OMG I’D GO NUTS. Another reason to use eBay for some sort of seller protection.

Even more reasons to get it graded. Josh a big one is heading your way, along with the burrow /25 auto I recently pulled.

Man you guys are KILLING me. Such great cards!

I have 8-10 more Lukas at PSA and it will be a long while before I see them back, so this thread is definitely keeping me occupied!

The cards within this thread are amazing. Many I would never own. Correct that many I would not STILL own if I had them. Panini does make SOME cool cards. Keep posting Doncicians!

Opulence auto /10 looks like it sold for $17k! The /99 sold for $4,200 the other day. Some solid sales. Mine is still sealed from Panini and probably won't grade well considering the huge print line on it.
