Simply cannot believe the Courtside sells for so much. I’d rather have a PSA slabbed legit autograph or rare numbered parallel from his rookie year. But that’s what makes everyone’s collections different!

I'm with you. I personally don't care for cards that I have to explain. But I understand why they sell for so much based on rarity. They also look great.

Id argue the other way. Keep it in original Panini case unless you can guarantee Gem Mint. There are buyers that prefer it in the original panini packaging.

We spoke about this on Saturday. It was legit but it was several cards in the purchase.

They are the minority by far.

I think if you add up the other cards in the lot (mostly 2nd year but nice Prizm parallels) the Courtside would be about $7,000-$7,500.

Wonder if anyone on here has had experiences sending a card in for grading with a small printing defect. In one of my Prizm Luka cards on the back, there is a circular red printing dot along the blue horizontal bar. Not sure how PSA or BGS would grade the card, but wanted to ask if anyone has had something similar on theirs and what grade they got.

This is exactly why I just sent in a Prizm Luka auto that had surface issues so best case scenario was a 9. It got an 8, which was a little disappointing but if and when I decide to sell at least I don't have to worry about a return (theoretically).

A PSA 9 Blue Crusade /99 just listed at $6,000 obo. That roughed up raw one closed at $2,200 last week. Any guesses on what the PSA 9 goes for?

It’s the placement of the Select logo and nameplate. Obviously does not detract from the card.

Sometimes raw cards sell for more than PSA 8s. I get that it makes it “safer” but I don’t buy that grading always adds value, especially when the card is in rough shape.

PSA 8 isn't really roughed up though, it is "industry standard". The problem with PSA 8's vs raw is that a raw card could "potentially" be a 9 or 10 while the 8 is an 8 and therefore has less upside potential.

Totally agree. I had previously been put off by the tiering of the three sets in Select, but once I got over that the product’s overall quality and looks and production scarcity won me over in a big way. They’re beautiful cards, and I actually think the tie dye is one of the best-looking and definitely most unique parallels across any of panini’s products.

Exactly. I don’t know if I’d sell a high-end ungraded card online. But I’m sure you can get more in person for it raw than you can for an 8.

Yeah I get it, I'd just rather have peace of mind with it encased and to avoid the buyer who's looking to buy a raw gem or return. I have a Noir RPA as well I'm going to eventually get slabbed, although the longer I wait the costlier it gets for PSA.

I could see it topping $3,500.
