It is. Makes the two PSA 9's at the same price currently on ebay look like a deal.

Funny you say this... I generally don’t buy graded cards, too... but sometimes beggars can’t be choosers, and I have to buy them because that’s what’s available

I’ve been looking at how to crack them, so they are easier to display in my PC rainbows, and I wonder if drilling in a few key spots might be easiest. What have you found?

Buy a good pair of cutters and cut a small square in the upper right. If that doesn’t break off I lightly tap it with a hammer. All you need is an opening to get a flathead screwdriver in. Then just lift up and the case comes apart. But yes, wear eye protection.

Confined space with no kids or drinks without a lid. Eye gear. A bandsaw with fresh blade for plastics right through the entire top edge of the flip. Small flathead screwdriver to pry it open over a pillow just in case the card slides out during the prying. Vacuum well afterwards because that plastic dust or potential shards during prying can cause serious damage or ruin your beer.

I know you are joking here, but I love that this is a preconception. Makes the deals on all the raw or 9s because the flip10heads pass them by. On modern at least. Don't get me wrong, I wouldn't by a Wagner without some type of slab to pass that initial authentic hurdle. That's one thing they get right. Not always, but nothing is always. I own a black light and can tell if it's trimmed from there with a single finger test. But what I don't have to worry about yet is a hmt55 being faked. Yet at least. Raw and 8 and 9 holders are king. The same reason folks look for bgs 9.5s with 9 surface subgrade is the same reason a lot of those 9s are not 10s. Crack them out. Wipe down the surface and resubmit and you got a 10 for half the cost. If you still sub at this juncture.

The current view ratio for the Soto:Acuna threads is 1:20. Yeah they have different start times. I predict by the end of the year this is closer to 1:3. Despite this happening Ronny could still get more views in his thread. But point is, Juanny will be appreciated in 2020

I’m sure there was a time when a Bryce Harper thread would of gotten more views & posts than a Mike Trout thread because Bryce was more flashy. I can see Acuna vs Soto the same way. That is just my opinion.

I have to personally thank the Acuna thread for getting so much hype during these last few years. That attention to Acuna might be the reason I was able to obtain most of my Soto cards for (at the time) reasonable prices.

You could if they looked mint enough in the pic. But it is so hard to tell. Would hate to pay for a card that would be hard to resell cause the pic was a bit fuzzy
