The Redskins should never have been renamed and the Chiefs shouldn't be either. I believe KC even has active outreach to the Native Americans, but a fan of the team could comment further.

Anything short of changing the name is lip service.

Can’t wait until they change the Falcons too. Those birds have been through hell and don’t deserve the level of disrespect Mr. Blank has shown them.

I doubt the leagues would allow for it. Missouri has 6.1MIL people. Kansas only has 2.9. Which is roughly the population of just the city of Chicago. If you are looking for growth, you don't do it in a market thats half the size of the one you are currently in.
Its really no different than the Jets and Giants playing in NJ.

Perfect the USA football soccer team lost in Group Stage in embarrassing fashion at the Chiefs stadium. An omen?

USA men’s soccer has always been trash and embarrassing. They try to pump that garbage up like the wnba.

CBS Sports put out list of top 25 all time players. I can't see how can put Elway and Marino on the list over Rodgers. Both are great QB's but Rodgers is better then both. If I had to pick one of the two to have Rodgers replace I would go Elway though.

Overall though not a bad list can argue maybe that a few guys should be on list and a few should not.

Marino was better than Elway. Elway just had Terrell Davis there to carry him to the promised land.

Why not take joy that the one pre-WWII player on the list is a Packer?

Also consider it was one guy, Bryan DeArdo, who wrote the rankings and who recently put out articles on the top 25 modern-era teams (1998 Broncos #7, 2010 Packers not listed) and 5 facts about John Elway. I'd say he had Elway on the top of his mind and combined with the negative press Rodgers got for missing mandatory mini-camp it's probably some negative recency bias.

I think most people have Rodgers higher than Elway even accounting for different eras and Elway being stuck in a run-run-pass offense for a good chunk of his career.

Agree Elway was like Manning that at end of his career he was just there to touch the football and not do much and just rode the coattails of the rest of the team to a ring.

Putting Manning, then Mahomes, then Montana in that order seems a little backwards to me. I'd flip that.

I love Walter Payton, but I think he's a bit high too. Rice, Jim Brown, LT, and Reggie White all have claims to being the best at their position, so those rankings make sense to me.

These lists are just for debate. Outside of 1 & 2, which many would agree on, it’s all debatable. Putting players over each other is just subjective feeling, not math.

Like I know Jim Brown was good. I’ve seen clips. Never saw him play. Not full games. I’m not really the best judge there. On the other hand I did see Rice, a lot, in person.

Jim Brown is the greatest football player ever

Comparing him to Tom Brady is dumb… and that’s not a slight at Brady

These lists are stupid for Football unless you simply do it by position

What I think you could do it put it by tiers.

Brady, Rice, Brown, White, and LT are all tier 1. Your GOAT Tier

I'd probably have a tier two thats guys like Payton, Sanders, Smith, Mahomes, Montana, Manning, Butkus, Lewis

And so on. But trying to judge if Joe Greene is better than Randy Moss? Just a fun conversation starter

All GOAT discussion in the NFL is stupid, but it persists because of stupidity.

Can’t wait for the off-season thread to be over.

Looks like he was out bowling with friends (haven't seen anything about drinking) and then they were going home/somewhere else in multiple cars. A girl driving one of the other vehicles was messing around/being an idiot and tried to speed up and cut in between two other cars including the one Jackson was riding in. She ended up hitting both of the vehicles, causing Jackson's vehicle to crash and kill all three passengers while everyone in her car and the other car were fine.

Players die in a lot of dumb and negligent ways, but this looks Jackson was just out having a low-key evening (bowling?) with some friends when one of them decided to be a f*cking moron and it cost three of her friends' lives.

Police said Hazel was driving a Dodge Charger with Jackson in the passenger seat when their car was struck by an Infiniti Q50 attempting to change lanes at a high speed. The Charger left the road and struck multiple tree stumps.

Neither the driver of the Infiniti Q50 nor her two passengers or the driver of the third vehicle was injured. Investigators believe alcohol may have played a role in the crash, police said, adding that charges are pending.
