So they sold you a set that is not a set? That has to be returnable. I know Target doesn't take returns for cards, but what you bought is defective.

I spoke with someone on app chat feature. They don't accept returns for cards, but they will escalate it to someone who will reach out with a "resolution" soon.....

When returning a couple of those TCU megas in January, an employee mentioned there was a recent message from corporate about no more card returns. She wasn't clear about whether that meant in store or if mailed in returns would no longer be accepted but I stopped all card purchases from Target since there no longer seem to be any guarantee regardless of circumstances.

It's unfortunate that Target let flippers decide its return policy but that's what looks to have happened.

Yeah that’s true. A single Hoops hobby pack probably wouldn’t sell for much more than a single Hoops blaster pack now that there are only 6 packs in a blaster.

So I found motherhood of prizm monopoly but they wouldn't let me purchase. Probably a whole case of the "booster/blaster" type boxes. I asked if they could pull from shelf and they would cuz I feared someone would eventually smoothtalk the right employee to circumvent system. Though it does just blatantly not let you even use self checkout to purchase. Looks like I'll be going back at open on Sunday. Gulp

I think the TCU damage and quality was major reason for the change in policy. I heard about so many returning boxes after hearing about the quality that it was probably too much for them to deal with and decided to change policy. Really, really too bad Topps/Fanatics didn't do something about it but it was probably too much for them to deal with or handle.

I opened one mega, horrible, returned the others (a whopping 2 megas returned). Also previously returned a Topps complete set that was shipped bare, in a box too small, turning the corners into toast.

Does that meet with your approval?

TCU may have been the last straw but it really goes back further to flippers buying up huge stocks during the pandemic then force feeding in store returns by hounding the staff until they gave up just to make them go away. That's what I heard from staff at Target anyway.

The reviews on Target say many are missing their Kenny Pickett card but not the entire rookie set so either way these sets seem to have issues.

If this was 2019, I’d agree with you. But the
Game has changed. To expect the same behavior from the manufacturer distributors AND mass retailers is folly.

Maybe I was too harsh. Maybe someone who really has an issue with the product isn’t a sneakerboi trying to dump back to target/excel what he botted in haste.
