The flat end is a dead blow hammer and the doomed (I think I spelled that wrong) side is to help shape flat metal into a curve. As for manufacturer or date I haven't a clue. They also look brass (can't tell) so you can only shape with them on metal that is as hard as they are. That's why bashing the hell out of your new 6k dollar suspension kit works.

Default Thrift Shop Pickups

Lost a thrift store chain here. The DAV, which helps disabled veterans closed. That leaves only goodwills and one church based thrift store. Maybe a few small ones here and there that I’ve never heard of or been to once and it wasn’t good. DAV didn’t pay their taxes for 3 years or fill out IRS forms. The church based thrift store is good and has great prices. Never find anything at goodwill anymore

Ramones - end of the century
Meatloaf - bat out of hell
Led Zeppelin - II
Gary numan - pleasure principles
Foreigner - head games
Neil young and crazy horse - rust never sleeps
Rolling Stones- still life

Left a few others behind “for the kids.”
Was that Led Zeppelin II the Bob Ludwig version?

Found a video game reselling grail of sorts. NCAA Football '14 for the PS3. Bought a bunch of games and a blue Wii console for $60, already sold NCAAF and got my money back. Third copy I've found in a few years but sadly this one was loose disc only and badly scratched, thus the relatively low price.

I use to go thrifting a lot years ago I stopped, prices have really gone up since I was regulating thrifting.

After years I finally found something cool and cheap.

sennheiser hd 599, tested and sound awesome and really clean. For 8 bucks. Felt like to old days

If you deal in video games a lot you can buy a good resurfacer for under $200. It will be the best money you ever spent.

Buffing CD's, DVD's works pretty well. I've heard and gotten very mixed results buffing Blu-Rays. YMMV.

I use to resell a lot to do video games in the past unless you are paying 1k+ for a resurface machine. The best next this a grinder from harbor freight.

I don't do a lot of disc based games, just when I happen to find them...which isn't often. Buddy of mine has one though, and the local retro shop will resurface them for free with their professional machine.

I just sell them as is in huge lots and let someone else deal with them. I sold 500+ from different platforms for $350. No huge titles or I would have sold them separately. Tons of sports games and low end games with tons of scratches.

I spent the most I've ever spent at a garage sale today. I actually had to go to the bank and get more money. $334 later I should be able to 10x my money. I bought 60+ Hallmark ornaments plus a ton of Star Trek stuff and surprisingly some plush (which I hate dealing with) plus some full series DVD's still sealed of NCIS and Jag and some other random figurines.

I'll be able to get $185 back from one Harry Potter Hallmark ornament and possibly $2-$300 out of one Star Trek item (none sold and there's only one up at auction which he wants 400+ for) and the rest will be straight profit.

Great way to end a garage sale season that is near done around here. Should load me up through a good portion of winter.

I paid 7.50 for everything. Took a shot on the fishing reel. But Daiwa seems to be expensive. Crash is for my blu ray collection.

Most favorite thrift shop pick up of the past year or more and definitely one of my top ones all time. Nothing super huge but these are still pretty decent condition Red lines that were just sitting in random bags of matchbox and hot wheel cars. what I love is Goodwill had assassin‘s Creed action figure for $15, that sells for maybe $25 on eBay, in their glass case as a handpick item yet these hot wheels here could bring me about 100 or more.

I recently spent more than I ever have in a single purchase. Found this listed on Facebook. Had to drive 4 hours to get it all. In total, there are 40 separate items and I paid $400 for everything. Includes vintage lanterns, lantern cases, spare globes, and stoves. Sold one already for $85.

Not much out there did find an old boat motor for 20.00 1968 evinrude 6hp. Got it home put a little gas in carb and got it to cough and try to crank so think it will run. Will likely keep it if I can get it running but if not parting it out could bring in a couple of hundred

That's what I am thinking for it. Guy was moving and wanted it gone. Been wanting to get a small boat to set up for fishing some of the small lakes and rivers here locally. This maybe the start of that.

Did my annual inventory sell out to another local reseller. Feels good to start over every fall and get fresh listings up for the Christmas rush the next couple of months. Cash sale of course, always nice.

Anybody sell loose action figures? I found a source where I can get them for around $.10 each, but don't want to commit until I find out more. Most of it is late 80's early 90's stuff. Has some Happy Meal toys lumped in.

I've done it a few times, depends on what it is, if it's a majority of happy meal toys I'm there is profit, but it's nothing I would sell. If it's a lot of generic marvel, DC, Star Wars action figures then I think at $.10 each you could make some good lots for auction and let them run.

Big Fan of square back canoe's....can use and move easier in areas that are no motor. But without pontoons they're not nearly as stable...especially when you bring the dog
