I am just trying to help because some can have a very valid point but it is overlooked because of a grammatical error. Though, I guess stating that is incorrect is a lot less abrasive than you're wrong.

Here’s why releasing movies straight to VOD is stupid

I’ll use FT as a example.

FT likes Star Wars. He goes to the theater to see it. Maybe he liked it so much he went to see it again. When it came out on dvd, he bought the dvd. 3 times Disney got money from him

Vs

Star Wars comes out on VOD. FT buys it. That’s it. 1 time Disney got money from him

Movie theaters are a thing of the past man. Go rewind your cassette tapes.

Why do box office records keep getting broken then?

This is why I can't believe we received a check since we owe the IRS money this year. I made sure it was deposited before I pay so I don't end up paying twice.

This has been my complaint all along and it is getting worse next week here with my Son having to login to Microsoft Teams at multiple times a morning to do work and none of us are here to help him with his work as we are still working.

If I'm going to have to work my regular job and then home school my kid when I get home after a 10 hour work day, the State needs to start paying me part of his teachers salary.

You wouldn't be wrong in that example. I saw every new Star Wars movie twice the theater except for The Last Jedi which i thought was stupid the first time I saw it. I then bought each one on DVD.

And not to just mention the money Disney got. Each time I saw the movie in the theater it was normally around 4PM so I bought dinner and candy for the kids and myself.

I also would be less likely to purchase a new release movie to stream at home and would just wait for the DVD to be released. If I'm going to watch it at home, I'd rather own the movie and be able to watch it as many times as I want over the course of my life.

At course. This is the exact reason why direct to VOD is so dumb

If movie theaters didn’t exist FT would still see all the movies as many times as he wanted and would save money. Movie theaters are just not needed and if they didn’t exist no one would really care. They are just another thing people waste their money on.

I may buy a DVD of a movie I enjoyed and want to watch multiple times, but nothing in mu house beats the screen size and sound quality that I get watching a movie at the theater.

Trust me I understand that. People are only paying for the experience. Like all things, newer and better ways change things.

Nothing beats the sound quality of everyone on their phones or talking during the movie or ruffling through their popcorn or slurping their empty drinks though. I feel ya.

I’ve literally never been to a movie where everyone is talking. People act like the crowds at the movies are so awful all the time when that’s not true

Sorry not every movie. Have you been to a movie where someone is being annoying? I assume so. I also forgot the people who bring their babies or little kids. Take them to the animated movie and not P-13 and R movies. Haha

I’ve been to movies where it was ok and no issues but I’ve also been to both. I’ve also seen fights. Those are the best. If you’re going to ruin a movie, might as well give me a fight to bet on.

You can drink at the movies too. Just put the bottle of wine or liquor in your pockets or ladies purse. Saves money.

You can do a lot of things at home that you can do going out. People are still going to go to the movies. They just aren’t needed and won’t be missed after a while by quite a few people. People would miss bars a lot more.

I went to a movie with my boss and his family after work one night. This one guy kept taking on his phone. Mt boss spoke up loud as hell and said do you mind. He put it away. 5 minutes later back on the phone. Boss went over to him and made sure he heard him. Dude got up and just went down a few rows and kept doing it. Funny as hell
