The stuff that shot up like crazy and has come back down to earth will spike again around the time of his HoF induction. I don't think there's any question about that.

I think I can get it for 400. I looked at it the other day and the condition looked really good. I always prefer to buy a card like this locally even if a little more them ebay so I can judge condition up close.

Yep I was watching it too so I know where my offer will land. I would like to grade it but even with how nice it looks, I'm sure an 8 is best I can hope for.

I thought kobe rc legacy row 0 is more expensive of a card than his row 1 version, any idea why his row 0 legacy BGS 9.5 sold for $104,550, while his row 1 legacy BGS 9.5 sold for $136,530?

Easy. The Row 0 was missing serial and blue font on “Bryant” as described in the title and was clearly a backdoored copy. Yet despite that it still did 85k compared to the previous legit Row 0 that did 234k.

You can check with some 90s experts in this site, but I was told that there were no backdoored copy for 96-97 flair showcase products. The earliest ones were from 97-98 flair showcase. Also, it's not missing the number, it's numbered 111 out of 150.

You’re right there is a serial however it is missing the blue font on “Bryant” which clearly affected the price. If anything it is a manufacturing defect and was properly reflected by the lesser price it ended at.

Got these back from PSA today. Shocked about the Kobe, but at least I know what I have if I ever move it. I can't see a flaw deserving the grade.

Did you know it was a pmg? I don't think these ones are numbered right and it's super hard to tell that it's PMG and not base.

Yes, I knew it was the Precious Metal parallel. I was shocked at the 5. I can't see any defect to warrant that grade.

That's why the hate for BGS sometimes baffles me. At least with them the subgrades will tell you why the card received a certain grade. PSA just slaps a number on it and you're left wondering wtf happened.

BGS insults you even more with subgrades. They’ll give you a 9 for a flawless corner.
