The hwy 80 say was pretty much washed out. Did snag a couple of vintage shirts.

Been working on the church sale this week. Have not seen anything major yet but lots to be unpacked still

Weather has finally warmed up around here and the number of sales has picked up. Did pretty good this past weekend with a possible big score. First, I got 10-15 empty pistol boxes for $1 each. All makes, models, and brands. Some can go for pretty big money.

I also got 15-20 purses and wallets for $20. Came from an estate where the people obviously had a ton of money. They're all high end.....Coach, Kors, etc. I know that there are a ton of fakes out there so I need to do some research into their authenticity.

Anyone have any experience or knowledge with high end purses and wallets?

Update- i listed that Asteonut doll and sold within one day for $540. So these 1960 whimsies dolls are definitely a BOLO.

I have not researched all of them yet but just the Astronut one is big money. The last one that sold had a reproduction tag, reproduction shirt and missing the astronaut face mask. It sold for $187. Mine has the orignal tag, orignal shirt, and the original thin fragile plastic astronut mask. The last one with all mine has sold 5 years ago for almost $700 .

That would be a set it at auction and let it go situation for me. Especially at one dollar into it.

I would spread it out where it can all be seen then take various photos in closer to them and list at auction starting at 1.00. I may end up doing this to these depends on how I feel about it

Eh it might be worth your time sorting it out. Young Boba Fett (before the reissue) was like 60 bucks as it was only in 1 set. Ahsoka's clone troopers go for a few bucks a piece as people want to builder her ARC correctly. The one tiny set that had a weird luke jedi, THAT luke jedi is expensive and the others are not. Some of the harry potter ones same crap one's 2 bucks the obscure one 75.

I agree but sometimes it's more about keeping the cash moving. Just depends on tge free time I have to go through them. Either way there is no way I lose money on tge deal. May leave some on table but it happens sometimes

It's usually a good sale early birds like me only gomez an hour or 2 typically so not enough time to check it all. It's held in a building the size of an old school walmart 40 to 50k sw feet. This year they did not have room for everything eitger

If anybody has data they can share and is willing to help, I need data for a research paper for my grad school. I need product names, purchase price, sale price, and length of time it took to sell (if possible). If anybody keeps spreadsheets or any useful data and doesn't mind sharing it, please pm me!

Do you have access to Excel? I can send you my spreadsheet broken down by year from 2016 to 2024.

It will have name of what sold. Some of those names will be generic though, for example, "Lot of baseball cards" or "Pacers jersey".

I can give you purchase price as well, some will have "$0.00" next to it because what I paid for it, I applied that payment to a different item that already sold that I also bought with it and I already made my money back plus more.

Sale price obviously I can give you.

I will not be able to give you length of time it took to sell.

Let me know if interested. Good luck either way.

Well there have been a few city wides but unfortunately mother nature has had other plans. One of them was cold and windy with light drizzle, last week it stormed, and this week is more rain. Crossing my fingers the one next week is good

I accepted a return on a $12 item just because I want to see if the guy is bluffing or not.

Usually I would just give a full refund and have them keep the item, but this dude felt like he was fishing for a full refund and to keep the item.

I could be wrong and if so, oh well.

Ha! I’m doing the exact same thing on an item right now. Told the buyer to go ahead and initiate the return process and return the item. I hate scammers.

Lol you never know! I could see buyers on eBay working the system and buy low priced items, receive it, say it doesn't work or is damaged, etc, etc....knowing full well the seller will send a full refund and tell them to keep it due to return shipping cost.

It really all depends on the buyer. Some guys I give the benefit of the doubt too, while others have my scam radar going off.

Either way, I block MOST buyers that open a return if it's not my fault. I just don't want to deal with them again.
