Had a buyer send an offer on a $50 item for $42. I accepted. Packaged it up and bought the label for drop off tomorrow.

Messages me this morning saying he needs to cancel as it was for his brother and his brother already has all these issues. No big deal. I void the postage and refund his money and re-list.

Under a very similar username, as soon as it's re-listed THE SAME GUY, offers me $38. I decline and message him saying you just had me cancel this order. He says, he wants them for himself now and has a BRAIN TUMOR and is very forgetful.

I decline. He counters at the original $42. I decline. He counters again at $45. I just let it go. He buys at full price. I message him and tell him due to his brain tumor I would have an issue selling to a guy who originally had me cancel only to purchase it at a higher price and best of luck elsewhere. I cancel the transaction and block him.

Not sure how it's possible, but after I blocked him he messaged me again (thought blocked people couldn't reach out?) and said to do a partial refund so it is at the original $42 price or he'll keep purchasing the item until I send it out.

Here's hoping he doesn't have a third eBay username because I blocked the other two.

Raise the price to $200 with a BO option? Let his offers out his various usernames to block. If he still wants it at $200 he paid an expensive lesson in playing games.

This is good to know. I’ve already cancelled three times and called eBay. Supposedly there is a way to block “guests” from purchasing your items so I will try and go that route but in the meantime I’m going to hold off on re-listing for awhile as I don’t need any issues during the fourth quarter.

Thought about this as well. But then there’s the issue of returns and I just don’t want to deal with it as I’m sure eBay would side with him.

Redlines but anyone who collects should know about those and they did make reproductions later on as special collector's club items etc... 1st Editions of some models can be somewhat valuable but if they aren't on card it's hard to tell if it's a 1st edition or not. There are also instances where there are short run variations usually they involve(d) different style wheels or missing tampos (stickers/decals), clear vs tinted windows etc.... Treasure Hunts are SP cars and usually have a TH logo on them somewhere and several years back that came up with the Super Treasure Hunt which are even harder to find and usually have rubber tires instead of plastic ones.

yes I'd say this is the most sensible answer, just pull it from your inventory since its just a $50 asking price and see about re-listing it sometime in the future

That's exactly what I did....I'm in no rush to re-list as I have other items to post and in a month or two I'll re-list at a 20-$30 markup and decline every offer from New Jersey.

Gotta love the holidays. I swear people have no patience. Item shipped on the 22nd and just got an "Item not received" inquiry today on a $100 item whose tracking was last updated yesterday. Granted it should have been delivered by now, (Indiana to Ohio) but come on. If the tracking has been updated within a day, have some patience.

I have until the 6th to respond. Hopefully it arrives before then.

I could keep this thread alive during the slow sales months based off holiday shoppers alone.

Guy purchases a PS1 Remote for $10 free shipping. Messages me stating I forgot to send the attachment piece that goes along with it. I tell him nowhere in the pictures or description was the attachment piece even mentioned or pictured and it was for the remote only.

Gives me the emoji middle finger in eBay messages and leaves me negative feedback. Saying I was a "Very Bad Seller".

Lol.....feedback removed by eBay within minutes and buyer has been blocked.

Just got my third "item not received" case so far this holiday season. USPS paid me out on one and the other got delivered today, two days before eBay could step in for a decision.

Let's see how this one plays out. I have until the 6th to get it delivered.
