If he had a good shooting night, were looking at 40-45 points.

Seems like he could have had several more assists. Lots of missed shots by the rest of the team.

Hate how he goes away from the dribble drives late in games. Killed Phoenix with it, can’t hit a three, and he settles for one after Maxi’s awful possession. Go get the three from the line.

I agree.. hopefully he’ll learn how to stick to his 2 game when his 3 game isn’t hitting.

Maxi should never get the ball ever. Sure he can hit the occasional 2nd quarter 3 when theyre down 12 but in the 4th it's a BRICK every single time...

He is still playing his way into shape and without their 2nd best player, and still had them in the game against a full roster and good team lol the overreactions are classic and the trolls come out whenever they can what a sad life they have

It just goes to show his commitment to being GOAT. Michael and Lebron are notorious for always being in shape when season starts (even way before the season starts). If he wants longevity, he needs to take it seriously when is comes to his body. You can already tell something is wrong with his ankle. This reminds me a lot of Shaq and how he came in 340 lbs during the start of the season (used to drive kobe nuts) Granted he won 4 championships, imagine if he took it seriously and had the work ethic of jordan/lebron/kobe? Mavs will need some time to figure each other out. They did not look very in sync and the pace of play took a hit because of it. |

I caught most of the game and yes he was off. He missed 3 chilies in the first half and as everyone said his 3 ball was off. However, 32-8-5 is a heck of a first game stAt wise. It is all perception. That line and a W and the board goes wild. They were not going undefeated and LeBron was also terrible. People have too much money in him and that makes “non-fans” antsy when games like this happen. He will be better on Christmas, but might still get an L. I am simply glad basketball is back. Enjoy the game and stop looking at every game as a market crashing outing. Merry Christmas and based on what I saw from various teams, the NBA is in good shape and those who invested in multiple players will make lots of money.

9s give the best opportunity to own your grails which you can’t afford anymore in a 10, so I think it’s fine.

I think people sometimes forget how young Luka is. As well as Trae and Ja. Future looks bright for the nextGen of the NBA. All their game will elvolve as well as their off season prep. 2020 has been wack AF.
Lukas to the moon.

I’m waiting on panicked flippers to list some low numbered auto patch stuff. My wallet is ready.

I had not even thought about the fact that 2020 prevented lots of the usual off-season preparation. Younger players have yet to learn how to care for their bodies or prepare for the season, which was very short off season. It might be January before most player, and I mean late January, before rhythm and chemistry is clicking. Sell off if you must or cannot take the bad games of a 22 year old. Those with patience will be rewarded.

![]() ![]() The good part for me is that I am into my modest stash of Lukas (and a few other players) for a minimal cost so I can weather any downturn in the market. There is so much career ahead of these cats......sell if you must but those that have the luxury of being able to hold will be happy down the road.

Does anyone else find Luka really hard to watch at times?
I won't deny that he's an incredible talent. One of the best in the NBA, hands down. He's the future of our league, no doubt. But in all honesty, he needs to improve his overall body language and his attitude immensely. It looks as though all of the fun and joy of playing has been sucked out of him. Last night maybe it was just being out of shape, or having the extra stress of having to carrying his team. At one point he tripped over his own feet, and hobbled up and down the floor for the next few minutes with a pained look on his face. Every time he draws the least amount of contact from a defender, he is throwing his hands up in the air and complaining to the refs. It's just hard to enjoy watching this over and over again. Apart from the occasional smirk, he just doesn't look happy out there at all. It's only game one and he looks like he's trying to grind out the final games of an 80 game season. I think NBA fans have fallen in love with players like Steph Curry, Giannis and Lebron because of the flair and the passion and the joy they find from playing the game. I think Luka still needs to find that, somewhere, somehow. I know people will come in here, and call me a troll. I don't really care. I am holding Luka cards too, but not likely for long. But we will see how things go Christmas day.
