I picked up one for about $650, but it came with like 15 HMT55 base when they were going for around $10/ea.

Xfractor at auction (also PWCC). Who is sending their Soto stuff to auction at this time? Figure with march madness next week baseball is kind of an afterthought.

Congrats! I wanted it, but I had already just bought a ton. I got the 1st PSA 10 that sold on ebay, for just under $300.

I agree. And his prices are red hot thanks to Gary V. But the Xfractor auction ends in 9 days and 4 hours which is literally the 1st Thursday of March madness. Feels like a bad time to end a card on ebay.

About 5 years ago, the PWCC had his auctions ending right in the middle of the Superbowl. Had 1 card consigned, did terrible. Noticed other cards ending low too. Went into frantic buying mode. Ended up grabbing 20 or so cards below VCP. I guess what I am saying is recognize the buying opportunity. Too bad it's PWCC. But Ive certainly started watching auctions scheduled to end during big events. If only it werent for sniping services, one could really make out.

I didnt accept an offer, instead I sent a counter. Then it was gone, to you. 2nd biggest regret after stopping short of winning the gold ref. PSA-10 that went $475. Those were low points. Week later, the /250 10's were $300+ again.

Its been a fun ride. I just won the hands on hips 9 tonight, was missing that one.

Shoot, just go look back in like June of last year. PSA 10 Pinks were selling for $70-$80. Now 10's are $300 card.

When I bought my 10 rainbow foil back in January of last year for $100, I got it because I missed out on a gold that sold for $150-$200.

Going back, they were in the $200's all the way until end of August when they suddenly jumped to $600+. Now, $1000.

That is insane spike if you think about it. I'm so tempted to sell my foil but I really love the card to be honest.

Good to see Soto getting some love, but this list also has Yu Darvish in the Top 100. As a Cubs fan, I'm not buying that haha.

There are a lot of head-scratching rankings on that list, but lists like that are designed to be controversial, to stimulate page clicks and debate.
