I do think that young kids and babies see certain things that you "grow" out of.

I was always fascinated by this kind of stuff, including out of body experiences.
For sure, for sure. For the longest time I was trying to train myself to lucid dream too. I have a few friends who could do it and it just sounds awesome/terrifying.

I heard some crazy stories. Some of them asked for proof it was real while it was happening. Some meet others that were also having out of body's experiences.

That is almost precisely what made me realize that I exist for a purpose - that there has to be a reason why I exist. That I am the only one of me.

Later I found out why... three days before I turned 25.

How did you find out?

Forgive me if I missed this in an earlier post.

Every dream used to be a lucid dream for me, but it has slowed down recently. I wonder why.
More awesome than terrifying, for sure.

Coolio, glad you found your purpose!

See I used to always ask those questions, but in the end I kind of just wanted to help people find their purpose. And that's still kind of how I feel now/part of why I went into teaching. I can teach kids academics, how to be good people, I can talk friends through stuff, volunteer my time to local activities, whatever, and that'll hopefully help some of those people on their way through live to different goals/dreams/whatever. So my purpose is kind of helping others find purpose. I don't really need a higher one than that personally but more power to ya if you have one!

Lol likewise. BTW what do you think about theistic creationism? I.e. evolution exists but God guided it. You didn't put in your two cents so I'm curious.

I came to the conclusion that I was created. Not just my body, but everything about me - my personality, my interests, my uniqueness. I really didn't know what would happen, but I chose to ask Jesus into my heart that night. I was nervous as all get out too. One of the oddest things happened to me the day I became a Christian. Prior to that day, I cursed all the time. From that day till now not one person or even my own ears have heard even a peep of a curse word. It had totally left my vocabulary. I never had to even catch myself to stop from saying anything. Those words died that day. Go figure.

Wow! Many more pages since I left last night. It has to be approaching Haiku territory, right? I don't have long, but I'd like to answer this. I don't see how anyone can totally dismiss evolution...at least those that are highly educated. I absolutely believe God guides a certain level of evolution, since He has control of all creation. It's all a part of His plan.

I saw a show about a local fire fighter who was born a man.
He had gender identity issues so he had a sex change to become a woman.
He married a woman.

So he was a lesbian woman trapped in a man's body.

That one had me shaking my head I must tell you.

Good answer. Thanks for responding! That's probably my last post in the thread btw haha, but it's been enlightening. My wife says I need to come visit the real world though, which is true

Dang that was my last post anyways...lol

Why is that weird? Sexual preference stayed the same, just gender identity changed. The person was always into females...they just didn't see themselves as a male. I've seen much weirder haha.

He will...it's ESPN's fault too. They have a habit of beating any story they like half to death. I mean Tim Tebow was their go to guy for waaaaay too long haha. And the LeBron Mt. Rushmore thing lately has been overblown as well. Anything to keep the media mill going!

I don't think we should discriminate because it's all the same. I have several friends who are pansexual, bisexual, and friends who have "switched teams" either from straight their whole life and then boom gay or gay their whole life and then boom straight. I don't think it's helpful to view sexual attraction as two paths, straight or gay, because for a lot of people it's not that simple.
Never said that attraction towards women isn't more than a primal urge. Love and affection towards someone aren't always connected to sexual desire. You can get a primal urge towards either sex, and it may have nothing to do with love or affection.

And you're right it's not fluid, all your friends are obviously going through some issues with their sexual identity and that's perfectly fine. The Christian view is that they are facing temptations and need to focus on discerning the difference between and urge and real feelings. Liberals would say have fun do whatever feels right. Different views of the same situation.

Gotcha. Just as someone who doesn't follow the Biblical guidelines (and therefore homosexuality is cool), I still view it as the different between urge and real feelings, just urge is before you find the one and real feelings are when you find the one. Whether same sex or inter sex it's all just exploration IMHO. If you're just straight all your life you just explore with one side, and that's fine because there's a lot of variety there too haha. But in general we're not gonna agree on this but it's good to know each side.
