Brady announced for Fanatics Fest in New York. I’m really hoping he signs/takes photos. But it appears like he may just be a speaker at this point.

I cant imagine how much it cost fanatics to sign Brady and get him to do these type of appearances.

Momentum is a tough grade. I dont even know if you could get one with a number grade because of that lower right edge always being cut wrong from the factory.

This was my seconds ever PSA sub in 2018. I remember how disgusted I was with the grades back then even though I really had no idea what I was doing. They don't look so bad now - wish I still had these.

I agree! I don't think there is any way you would have gotten a number grade on that momentum if you subbed today. I am sure it would come back either authentic or authentic/altered.

I am wondering what the consensus of the Brady rookie card experts here is on the amount of rookie cards Tom has. I was looking at the Beckett list that was released a number of years ago. I am sure you have all seen it. it lists them from best to worst and gives a little write up about each card and lists the parallels for each.

I had always considered a Brady rookie card collection of non-parallels complete at 42 cards. I was checking out the "list" yesterday and the author shows a complete set at 44 cards. He includes both hobby and retail versions of pacific private stock and crown royale. I always considered those to be parallels, and a rookie set would be complete with one or the other.

what is the consensus here? 44 or 42?

I think the consensus has become 44, probably because the registry has 44 in it.

I received a pretty nice Brady rookie in the mail today. 4 figure card. it was shipped as signature required to receive usps. Card was delivered this morning while not a soul was at home. signed for by a name i have never heard before. i got home and it is sitting in the mailbox. I am sure the mail delivery guy just signed himself. is this common? anyone had this happen before?

During Covid the mail carrier would sign "covid".
They kept doing it after the pandemic and I finally had to tell my carrier to go back to having me sign. They said you basically had to "opt in" by telling them at that point. I know it was different in each city though.

that is probably what has happened. sound like general laziness to me. if someone pays for something, they should either get it or have it otherwise explained to them before they pay. i dont love having a $2.5K card sitting in the mailbox out by the road all day...

I wonder what would happen in the case that a USPS employee "signs" for delivery, leaves it in a mailbox and the card gets stolen out of the mailbox? as far as ebay is concerned, it was delivered, right? A pretty scary situation.

Likely be a painful and lengthy dealing with the USPS.

Maybe $10k if he comes out of retirement and gets another ring or 2.
Or if he runs for president.

I had a couple of boxes from PSA just left on my doorstep during COVID, same thing, mail guy signed for me...

Luckily I work from home so I grabbed them immediately...

I caught him one time and I said "doesn't that need MY signature?" and his response was, "yeah I signed for you"

Sadly, my inner "Karen" won that day and I called the local USPS office to complain.... First World Problems, but their my first world problems...

Anyone have any particular favorite brady rookie auto cards? Are there a few that are more/less well known like the 2000 Bowman rookie?

I hear you. Had I been home when he dropped and signed for them, I feel like my inner Karen would have emerged. I will let this one slide, but if it happens again, Karen is being released in full force!!

Technically, I believe there is only one true "rookie" auto, the contenders. all others are inserts. Of those, I really like the Autographics. I like how the Auto is the focal point of the whole design.

Love my Autographics and Rounders, two of my fav overall Brady cards. Inserts but great looking cards IMO. Most of his base cards from 2000 are pretty awful designs.
