Wiggins was going to be Kobe/Lebron remember on here.
Guys hyping players are no different than ones wanting to see them fail. It has nothing to do with the players. All about seeing investors take a huge bath after they run their mouths like know it all's. |

I mean I'll be honest, some of the excuses being made in here are becoming worse than the blatant troll posts. He came into the season out of shape and we're seeing the negative effects of that right now, end of story. You can make every excuse in the book for him (and no, having a sprained ankle in the offseason is not a valid one) but it's the truth. Is it the end of the world? Of course not, but it's also very disappointing and to some degree makes me question his work ethic a bit.

there are a lot of people in the circle jerk here saying Luka is Jordan, Lebron and Bird all rolled into one and he’s going to run out of fingers for rings and mvps (I exaggerate...a little). There are naturally always going to be people that want to say I told you so given the slightest opportunity. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

All i got was “overreaction” “hot take”. I didnt say sell sell sell. A legitimate criticism met with hostility from the regular circle jerkers in here. They know who they are. Not one productive response or analysis. Luka will be fine as the season progresses but he needs to take his body and health seriously for the whole year and not just the season. |

Yes Luka hasn't been good enough so far.
He's either enjoyed his offseason and eaten too much or loves a drink..or that ankle kept him on the couch for too long. Should investors be worried? Hell no. The Zinger is out and is a massive part of what they do. The trolls have been painful. Jeez I wish I didn't waste my time on the last 5 pages. The fanatics have also been painful. But it is so EARLY. Luka is gonna be just fine and we'll be quoting some of these horrible takes. In saying that I'm gonna sell my Status Green Luka because I want a Fleer RC Patrick Ewing or a 96 Flair Row 2 Kobe. Ah ah ah

I see a market correction coming big time. A lot of heads are going to roll. Luka is way too far away from winning a championship or a MVP. This is a bad team right now I see it being very difficult for them to even get into the playoffs. I’m pulling for the guy love his character this is concerning right now.

I've got a few Lukas, and I firmly believe any player not showing up to the season in shape is a valid concern. To point out that Cuban "defended" him by saying he didn't play/workout with the Slovenian National Team is a copout. Gimme a break... He has the endless resources every NBA player has (maybe more than the average player.) He chose to slack off. Simple as that.
That said.. he'll be fine. The season will get him into game shape, and hopefully he'll learn from this and they can build some chemistry. I'm a believer in Carlisle just as much as I am Luka, which is why I think they get it figured out. I was having some qualms about his work ethic (I mean, he's young... I'm not going to start a "Luka Disaster" thread...,) but I stumbled upon this video just now, and it have me some comfort. He stayed to workout and shoot around for 30 minutes after that embarrassment. And it's not just shooting. That's the character I want to see from every player, regardless if I have a few cards of theirs or not. |

I think Luka's frustration over last game was because of 2 things, 1 he isn't in tip top shape but that'll obviously get better as the season progresses and he wasn't aggressive enough, clearly he only attempted 10 shots. Hopefully he develops the mental discipline during the off-season to stay in great shape, it's been a weird year for everyone, but once he has that down it won't matter what happens around him.
As far as the 3's, they've never been his strong suit. 0-5 is not uncommon for Luka. If you look at last year he had MANY awful nights from the 3-point line, here are some of the worst: 2-11 1-6 1-7 3-12 0-8 1-8 2-8 1-6 0-6 3-16 1-7 0-5 2-11 1-6 0-6 1-8 1-9 1-6 1-6 I love Luka and I think he'll return to his norm, but like I said before, I'd like to see him be more selective about his three point shots. But it is what it is.

Estimated wins added ranked 15th
PER ranked 25th (top 15 if you count guys with more than 25min played per game) To me those are the two most important analytics. He’s obviously not in tip top game shape. But he’s also not receiving any help aside from one game. Wish Carlisle let him play more in the last two games, blowouts or not.

It's almost unbearable to read through this thread when the trolls come out, don't worry Luka fans they will all be gone by mid season

A lot of the trolls remind me of failed gamblers who lose tens of thousands of dollars but then want to brag to everyone when they win a thousand dollar jackpot(not mentioning that they are still down $50,000). Some people will bash on every big name player when they have a rough stretch, but never admit they were wrong when that player turns it around. You will only see them bragging when one of those players actually turns into a bust so they can pound their chest and say I told you so. It’s actually kind of sad and a pathetic cry for attention, but nothing anyone says here will change them as the reactions/attention are what they crave.
Luka is young, has a great coach and owner, is extremely competitive and has maybe the highest basketball IQ in the NBA. He will have many struggles along the way(every superstar does), but many more successes. |

Luka is the next GOAT take it to the bank. Come back and talk smack to me when he's dropping 30 PPG triple doubles on a nightly basis. I doubt i'll hear from you though. The freaks come out of the woodwork like cockroaches. Creeping up under the cracks in the middle of the night when no one is around. Welcome to the cockroach club. |
