They've done a couple of signing cards - Moniak and MacKay maybe? I don't think would have been MLBPA members at that point.

I think they can individually contract with non MLBPA members.

He looks a lot better in person. Five different pitches so far. 98 Fastball, 82 change. Others in the high 80 low 90s. Not the greatest pitcher in the world but good.

The A's defense couldn't catch the ball if their lives depended on it. Hopefully that's enough to get Ohtani his win. Can't complain with a QS. 1 bad inning. 2 Ohtani cards again tomorrow huh?

I know we joke but wouldn't expect Ohtani auto while they're still pushing the RTOD autos and he's the driving force behind that one.

"Pushing"? Those sets feel like an afterthought by Topps themselves so far...even if they didn't provide complete set details by deadline last year. Come on Topps, more details on RTOD please.

Gearing up for a bulk sub to PSA, thinking about waiting until Acuna gets called up to get some of his first now cards graded. Hopefully he is up by the 20th or so, most of my sub is going to be Ohtani TN

Shotei Ohtani became the first player to start as a hitter on Opening Day and then pitch within the first 10 games since Babe Ruth did it in 1919. Ohtani got the win in his pitching debut. We are going to offer an opportunity for early access autographed cards tomorrow. Here are the cards available:
