Thanks

Seriously though, I wonder if the US1 not having the rc logo will make it more desirable in the future?

I say no. As much fun as it is to watch him hit bombs in an exhibition setting, I always worry about players having their swings messed up. I still think the 2015 ASG HR derby was a reason for Joc Pederson's issues.

He won't because Harper will beat him at home

Judge probably wins the HR derby for the next 5 years while he is the face of MLB. Get used to it ladies.

I forgot.

Its dinner time.

Watching the Judge interview below (I never saw this before) makes me like this kid even more. He is so damn humble. Yankees have a bring Future for the next decade. This is a start of a dynasty here.

Very tough to get free time to chat cards, yet was glad I was able to log in and watch that video. Such an endearing young man; I've had my son read his fantastic quote about "enjoying failure."

Aaron Judge was a joy to watch and collect in this historic 2017 season. Never thought I would get into modern cards (thanks, Judge!).

As he said, it must be a mind-blowing rush to don the pinstripes for just one game. I'd give anything to know what that's like. To set the all-time rookie HR record as a Yankee, and have your name spoken alongside such hallowed names, it is really something special.

Where the young man goes from here, only time will tell. Yet his positive attitude and work ethic, alongside such anomalous natural power, it all bodes well.

He seems very in touch with the soul of the game; an Olympic athlete I know who has trained two MLB HOFers told me his best advice for baseball players: nothing is forever— not the hot streaks, and not the cold ones. Those words serve baseball players well in their long seasons, and Judge knows this firsthand.

On a related note, I am really looking forward to seeing what Greg Bird, Gary Sanchez, Jordan Montgomery, Clint Frazier, and hopefully also Gleyber Torres, Billy McKinney, and Miguel Andujar can do next year with increased playing time. It's an exciting, young team— and they have fun, which is a key to success.

50+ homers for a rookie. Did not think I would see it, and on my favorite team. And in such a humble player, in this age. And such cartoonish, entertaining homers so many of them are. Just brings a smile. I remember pulling McGwires from common boxes as a boy in 1987; there's just something intrinsically thrilling about a rookie hitting bunches of bombs.

I hope the WS is exciting. Beyond that, here's to a relaxing and rejuvenating offseason for all baseball fans and players. And to hoping the Heritage 214 golds, super, and flipstocks, and the gold FFA show up for sale on eBay one of these days! They belong beside the black Bazooka

Lets hope he never participates in the home run derby again. No upside to it at all as we saw during his second half slump after he won the derby this year. Its idiotic.

He's a great young man and one most should want their child to look up to. His character was the main driving force behind me buying into him. Character is a very underrated tangible in prospecting. Just look into Correa, Bryant, and others. Addison Russell and Alex Bregman would be the opposite end of that. Both have zero class.

Yes. I think while he did slow down afterwards, he picked it back up in September to break the homerun record and didn't have a 100% power outage like a lot of homerun derby winners.

“Speak softly and carry a big stick” fits our Judge perfectly. Next ten years should be a fun ride!

Judge driven by title goal, not personal records

Belting 52 home runs, Judge set a Major League record for the most hit by a rookie, eclipsing Mark McGwire's 1987 mark of 49. Judge led the AL in runs scored (128), homers and walks (127), ranked second in RBIs (114), on-base percentage (.422) and slugging percentage (.627), while also pacing the Majors in strikeouts (208).

Judge's 1.049 OPS made him the fourth rookie in the modern era to record an OPS of 1.000 or greater, joining Cleveland's Joe Jackson (1.058 in 1911), Boston's Ted Williams (1.045 in 1939) and St. Louis' Albert Pujols (1.013 in 2001). The historical company often awed Judge, who downplayed his accomplishments by saying his teammates had put him in a good position to succeed, yet said he couldn't be content with the final results.

I don't see the up side to doing the derby. Take a year off and see if there's a difference. If not, do the derby the next year.
