Trying to clean out my closet and found a few things I forgot about.

This one is not really a card. About 4x6 from Upper Deck in 2002.

Also found a stack of uncut Brady cards from all different sets in 2002. I guess they were the backdoored ones. This one is my favorite by far.

2002 Pacific Exclusive

I love Tom Brady. Is he not as popular as I thought?

His YouTube channel has some great content. He has only about 320K subscribers which I thought was really low for someone as famous as TB.

I would say he is as well known as any football player could be.

Most of Brady's cor fan base is more newspaper and magazines than YT generation.

I have noticed that the Brady rookies I follow have been trending up for the last month or so. the ones I have left to acquire have definitely come up since winter. I think, perhaps, the brady market has left the plateau and is trending up at this point. this is surprising because traditionally, I have made my largest purchases between march and june as that was normally the dip time.

A whole lot of quality stuff of top players is trending up... it makes perfect sense that the best Brady's would too.

I've noticed his rarer stuff trending up too. I bought his Rookies and Stars RC yesterday. Previous PSA 9 sale was $2500 and it is a pop 30. I was hoping to win it for around $2500-2700, but when I got the 15 minute notification it was already at $3200. So I thought maybe I can pass on this one and get the next one cheaper... But really how much cheaper because if I don't win this one that new comp is $3200. So I fomo'd and won it for $3300.

There is a PSA 9 Leaf Limited on fanatics collect premier auctions right now that ends in 11 days. Wonder what this one will go for. Last two sales are $27k and $40k, however the $40k one was his jersey number 12/50.

a 2000 contenders PSA 7.5/8 sold for just a tick under 17K on ebay. I wonder how much the poor auto grade hurt the final sale price?

I know that the quality of auto on this card can have a big effect on pricing. I personally have not seen many auto grades as low as 8 before.

I think you made the right choice on the R&S. his numbered stuff is definitely trending up. dont feel bad about FOMO, we have all done it. I am trying desperately to get the last few rookies I need before the end of the year. I really do not think they will be getting cheaper at this point.

I honestly think Brady will be the Babe Ruth of Football. His cards will continue to be desired. The guy in honesty put his career ahead of his family. He paid the price of doing that with now a broken blended family. Mahomes takes his family life much more serious, which is really the most important thing in life. But what Brady did for the league and as popularity of the sport grows more internationally, his name will always command top dollar as it should. Everyone always says never say never but no one will catch his SB rings. I love Michael Jordan a lot but I enjoy collecting Brady cards more for some reason. I watched his entire career from day one when he came in that Jets game.

I agree that Brady will be on the big 4 sports Mt. Rushmore. His longevity, post season success, statistics and personal accolades will be very very hard (if not impossible) for a player to overcome.

no, I didnt. looked like quite a crowd at the beginning of the video. they sure did spend some $ designing and furnishing that place. I would imagine there is not too much room to haggle on their prices either. I bet the chances of running into Tom there are very very close to zero!

here is a weird little tid bit. I was looking at some Pacific rookies and the Omega lists his height/weight as 6´1¨/202. that is quite a bit smaller than other manufacturers who usually listed him as 6´4¨ or 6´5¨

another odd thing is that pacific lists him differently on their own cards. private stock, revolution and aurora all list him at 6´3¨/217

the base Pacific rookie has him at 6´5¨/213

Pacific could not make up their mind!!! funny the weird stuff you notice 25 years later.

How do you guys feel about after market certified autos?
How can they be certified if the graders weren’t there to see it signed? Compared to (what I think are the best) an autographed issued card

Look up a few of the skybox impact signed rookies, don’t they look a little strange?
Especially the one “To Ron”, is that not one of the worst Brady autos you’ve ever seen?

Edit: skybox impact rookies are on eBay

Brady being the babe Ruth of football, that could have been said forever ago lol.
Mahomes is light years away, it’s insane.

If you subtract everything Mahomes has done from Brady, wouldn’t Brady still be the best? Which is insane.

Brady has 4 rings, Mahomes has 0.
Brady has played in 5 Super Bowls, Mahomes has played in 0
Etc, Brady high numbers, tons of accomplishments and Mahomes at 0 for everything, even 0 passing yards lol
