Looks like people are ordering multiples with the plates and posting them. I think the most I saw one person got was six. So what's available and left should be known in the next day or two

First of all, he didn't say that. Secondly, a lot of the people in the NWSL group are first time collectors and are looking for certain players or certain teams and if they have no idea of market values, they could easily get taken advantage of. The person is simply trying to keep people from losing a ton of money on a plate that might only be worth 1/4 of what they paid for it.

I remember when plates for first introduced in the mid 90's and no name players for selling for hundreds each and the top stars were a grand or more, per plate. These days you can find plates for $10 or under and even for top players, a couple hundred if even that much. I personally love plates and have for a long time. Right now, Parkside plates are the new shiny toy, so everyone is going to exploit the newness and overcharge. In a month or two, most will be 50% to 75% cheaper than they are now.

I paraphrased above but saying these 1 of 1s are worth less than the 1 of 1 parallels kind of does say they aren't worth much and even says they are a novelty. Plates are definitely not a novelty

Please do some research before overpaying for these plates, if you decide to purchase. Third party prices are already ridiculous and most card collectors think of these as a novelty item. Get excited about them, get what you want but please purchase with an informed decision.

There have been several times where some members of that group will have a rare card and want to trade it for something significantly less valued and you know very well those who are willing to take advantage would never say. So it is a good notice for those who simply just want to collect their favorite players to know that they can get more for what they have and to not overspend on something that historically has not held up in prices.

Yellow She believes plate of her sold for $215 last month.

Kristie Mewis sold for $170 already..

Some of these players are going to sell for decent money despite being "novelties".

Because one of three things will happen with these.

They won't be seen again for awhile.
They will get autographed and possibly personalized and forever ruined
Given to the player.

With this group of collectors you kind have to throw out the normal expectations you would normally have

Doesn't the buyer ultimately get the final say if the item is worth it to them or not?
A thing is only worth the money somebody is willing to pay for it.

I'm not talking resale value.

If buyers don't want to pay $$$ for a specific card, then it will sit unsold and the seller can decide to drop the price - or not.

Pugh/Swanson sold for $250. Another one has surfaced since then and thats asking price for that one.

I busted quite a bit. Here are the Alyssa Thompson autos I pulled. The second picture are all the Chloe Ricketts autos I pulled. You will notice there is no second picture. Where are they???? Very few sold on eBay and only 1 currently for sale. Anyone know anything about those?
