Totally ignorant question here, but are you saying the website's marketplace currently has 6000 individuals looking to sell and 4500 looking to buy?

In other words, you're referencing accounts as opposed to volume of moments, right?

Great question, I'm just going off what I'm seeing on the below site. The bottom right of the page has the graph. I've seen the seller numbers spike after a pack drop. I know that I posted a few myself.

It's accounts that put up something for sale vs accounts buying. So yeah it's not really telling. But the market is obviously correcting, which is not weird considering the meteoric growth.

Here is the checklist and full list of what will be inserted

https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets...InuuGIj794BKw#

Deck the Hoops (Series 2) /99
  1. Marcus Smart converts a steal into a fastbreak
  2. Gordon Hayward splits the Magic defense
  3. Coby White absorbs contact for a bucket
  4. Andre Drummond gets an easy dunk
  5. Tim Hardaway Jr. drives and scores
  6. Jerami Grant throws down massive put-back
  7. Steph Curry hits quick release corner three
  8. Victor Oladipo finishes extended reverse layup
  9. T.J. Warren spins his way to an easy bucket
  10. Kawhi Leonard hits pull up jumper at buzzer
  11. Anthony Davis pivots into a fadeaway
  12. Kyle Anderson hits a gap for reverse layup
  13. Tyler Herro loses defender with pass fake
  14. Jrue Holiday creates space for a three
  15. Malik Beasley finishes in transition
  16. Brandon Ingram drives for a one-handed slam
  17. Mitchell Robinson throws down a alob
  18. Luguentz Dort hits a nice reverse layup
  19. Aaron Gordon soars for a two-handed slam
  20. Tobias Harris finds Tyrese Maxey for an alley-oop
  21. Deandre Ayton finishes an alley-oop from Chris Paul
  22. Carmelo Anthony hits a fadeaway
  23. Buddy Hield hits contested three
  24. Dejounte Murray side-steps into a jumper
  25. Kyle Lowry creates space for a deep two
  26. Rudy Gobert denies a drive attempt
  27. Russell Westbrook goes backdoor on the Magic
Your points on the pack drop effecting seller numbers is well-taken. I hadn’t considered that, though it does appear that the sellers have started to dip. I’m still a little concerned that we haven’t seen any growth in the buyer pool lately. Also, the larger concern for me is Pranksy continuing to dump his collection having a slow and steady declining effect on prices. Glad to hear your collection has grown in value by 10% though! Like I’ve said, I’m pretty much all Dapper balance for now until I think the timing is right to get back in.

$999 is definitely steep on the pack, so hopefully that scares the masses off. Has to be a pretty decent value even at that price I’m thinking though right?

Considering what similar items go for even at that price it's still pretty much guaranteed profit.

The checklist is absolute garbage for their highest priced pack ever. No LeBron, Luka, Giannis, Durant, etc in Holo Icon and only Giannis in the Metallic. Curry and AD are the best Holo Icons. A Marcus Smart steal or Lugentz Dort reverse layup...Really??? They have to be laughing their asses off knowing they will sell over $2M worth of these packs in a very short amount of time. Seems like they used to price these types of packs at $230 so glad to see they have adopted the practices of their physical counterparts. I also see they did another 4am drop of base series 2. Has anyone done the math to figure out how many packs of series 2 would be needed to complete the runs if all cards were switched to LE immediately? With 25k packs at 3 moments per pack, that's 75k moments. If you look at the checklist of that release, they limit the rookies to 25-26 copies of each while having up to 1060 of the others.

Going through the checklist of each series 2 release is interesting. Release 1 had all moments released in similar quantities with a range of 858-930 copies of each moment. Releases 2 & 3 had similar numbers for all except rookies moments which were in the mid 400's per copy. Series 4 the rookies increased ever so slightly while other cards got jacked up to over 2k copies released. Series 5 saw the numbers drop by about 50% from series 4 so a little over 200 copies for rookies and 1k for most base. Series 6 saw base stay the same with rookies dipping to a little under 200 copies. Series 7 saw a huge drop for rookies with just under 50 copies available for each rookie and over 700 copies of most base. Series 8 saw a another small drop in # of rookies with base seeing a slight increase in #'s available. Series 9 had rookies dip to under 40 copies of each available and base about the same as series 8. Series 10 is where the 25-26 copies of each rookie being available started. Using Wiseman as an example, he's only had 2765 out of the 4k print run released. Every other rookie /4000 has similar numbers. If they continue releasing packs with the rookie #'s of the last 3 releases or worse, it's going to take a whole lot more releases to finish the set out.

One of the best features of nba topshot is how the purchasing power of dapper bucks increases daily. My worthless USD buys less and less sports cards and satoshis on an almost daily basis. DapperBucks, by contrast, allow me to buy better and more rare GIFs every single day I wait. It feels pretty magical that this group of developers has come up with an amazing new currency that grows its purchasing power each and every day!! Too bad I can't withdraw it.

This isn't a great checklist for a $1000 pack. I definitely assumed they'd go heavy on the big guys for a pack like this and you're only really getting Steph, Kawhi and AD are nice but eh?

And yet, I feel like I want one since it seems like it's guaranteed profit with how things are going.

I mean, the Giannis/Tatum /Ja Metallic likely pays for more than 50% of the pack. They chose decent Series 2 moments so the odds are good you get a rookie. The legendaries are the only suspect ones though. I think you'll easily break even and with a tiny amount of luck crush it.

These will sell out in minutes if not seconds. I’m not going to put 1k into a pack when that same 1k can buy you singles that have a far greater ROI in this current fire sale marketplace.

That being said, I’m not buying anything at the moment. Just seeing where this wave takes me.

I mean do you really think it’s that great of a time to buy? You’re kind of saying yourself that it’s probably not. A ton of liquidity is about to leave the market/is already doing so. Some of your biggest early investors are currently cashing out and the rest of the market who showed up because they heard it was quick money are soon to be withdrawal eligible.

I'm strictly going off my opinion that we will see a big influx of new buyers when they go public. Whatever happens after that, I have no idea. And I would be buying if I had dapper funds but I currently have my money tied up in moments that I am holding.

If I had $999 in my Dapper, I'd buy a pack. But I'm only sitting at $600~(and a few moments) in the wallet and I'm not putting anymore $$$ into this.

GL to anyone who buys a pack. Post results! I STILL have got 0 packs but I've paid almost 0 attention to this over the past week+.

I don’t really understand the “going public” thing. Sure, it’s in “beta,” but the cat is out of the bag on this and there’s not some big upcoming public release. Tons of my friends who don’t have ties to sports cards, other sports speculation businesses, crypto, etc. know what TS is and there’s no barrier to entry.

Yeah a ton of my design friends have talked about it as well. It's definitely known out there. It's just the view of NFT isn't great currently.
