Otherwise amazing to see what the bases sell for on MLB Auction site and at team stores. Coincidentally, I picked up a Rangers base for the last Tribe game and was a steal (oooh pun!) compared to what the Indians auctioned off the last home-game bases. |

Had enough Topps now points to get a 10 pack of Wander's First Career Postseason HR. Only costs me $10..so $1 a card didn't seem bad with a chance at a parallel..got them in today and lo and behold!

Finally got the Phillies road to opening day autos.

 Dear Platinum Members, The Houston Astros responded to their Game 1 loss with a counterpunch Game 2 victory, defeating the Braves 7-2. The home team got a big home run from Jose Altuve and solid pitching from Jose Urquidy to knot the series at 1 win apiece. Prior to the game, Tampa Bay Rays designated hitter Nelson Cruz was honored as the 2021 Roberto Clemente award winner. The 41-year-old, who continues to get better with age after putting together a 32-homer season between the Twins and Rays, has done charitable work in his native Dominican Republic for many years - providing residents with dentists and optometrists visits in his hometown. Altuve's home run in the bottom of the seventh inning was the 22nd Postseason home run of his career, tying him for second all-time with New York Yankees great Bernie Williams. The solo blast was the icing on top for the Game 2 victory. On the mound, Jose Urquidy tossed five solid innings, allowing just two runs on six hits while striking out seven and walking none. With this victory, Urquidy is the first Mexican-born pitcher in MLB history to earn multiple World Series wins. Just got a shipping notice for the latest Aaron Judge auto. On-Card Auto # to 99 - Aaron Judge - 2021 MLB TOPPS NOW® Card 895A
Hopefully he signed his Postseason ones also to move that set along. Vinny

I admit, I like collectibles for the action. Buying, selling, prospecting, gambling, etc., are parts of the fun. I will say that being older than many here I just can’t justify sticker autos. Give me a nice on-card auto and I feel that little connection to the signer. |

Dear Platinum Members, With a drizzling rain that certainly picked up at times throughout the contest, the Atlanta Braves left the Houston Astros offense high and dry in a 2-0 Game 3 victory. Braves starter Ian Anderson was historically effective, tossing five no-hit innings and lowering his career Postseason ERA to 1.26 over 35.2 innings. That's second best in a player's first eight career Postseason starts since earned runs became an official stat in both the AL & NL in 1913 (Orlando Hernandez - 1.22). While the rookie was dazzling on the mound, the Braves mustered up a little bit of offense to get ahead of the American League visitors. An RBI double in the third inning gave Atlanta the lead they would carry through the majority of the game. It was then in the eighth inning when they got a big sigh of relief when catcher Travis d'Arnaud launched solo home run to provide much needed insurance. That cemented the victory for the Braves, who won a World Series game in Atlanta for the first time since their series-clinching victory in 1995. New to these Topps Now relics. Are they pricey and low numbered because they were actually used in the game being commemorated? Specifically, I'm guessing the relic balls from specific moments aren't of the ACTUAL ball in that moment, but rather just one from the game?
