I'd like to pick up some of the parallels, but I have a feeling they are going to be at an even more ridiculous price than Volpe last year.

Oh yea, most likely. Still, get them now versus waiting for his return!

Or wait until the offseason as he doesn't even have a spot unless someone gets hurt. I don't see any path to him getting everyday at bats unless someone goes down or Stanton gets released.

By the time he returns(mid season?) s1 parallels won’t be the only Jasssson RC logo cards to chase by a longshot.
Id wait unless you need a clear or black, even then they should be a bit cheaper than now I’d guess

You think Verdugo/Grisham will keep him on the bench?? I don't see that happening

We'll see, he only got a cup of coffee last year, 33pa only 37pa in AAA. I wouldn't be shocked if he spends some time at AAA, probably another late season call up unless he tares the cover off the ball and Verdugo struggles. I know they finally moved off of Hicks/Donaldson but this team is slow to give up on Veterans.

I can see Jasson staying in AAA longer than one typically would on a rehab assignment unless the offense is struggling like it was last year. If Judge, Soto, Verdugo are out there every day and Verdugo is sporting a .800 OPS, it's not totally out the realm to prefer Jasson get reps in AAA.

If it were up to me, yea get him up there as soon as he is 100% and Verdugo can be the fourth OF but we all know that's not how the brass thinks.

The logjam is Stanton. He's been brutal for 2 years now. Maybe they could move him to the booth and put his sal on the yes books or something.

But, but he went to the lab this offseason and is going to be so much better.

Other injury news:

Quote:
Jose Trevino had a calf strain a couple of weeks ago and won't be available to play in the first few games of Spring Training.
Hopefully he's backing up Austin Wells this year.

Brian Cashman Says Shohei Ohtani Never Offered Yankees Deferred Contract Option

My guess is because he never wanted to be a Yankee. he just used them to drive the price up.

While I'd rather they sign him to an extension, there's no way Boras isn't going to market.

Yankees Add Depth After Claiming Philadelphia Phillies Pitcher Off Waivers

https://www.si.com/mlb/yankees/news/...-waivers-brad9

Quote:
New York was able to do that by claiming McKinley Moore off waivers from the Philadelphia Phillies according to their own social media account.

The right-hander was added to the 40-man roster as Trevino was moved to the IL.

I'm still wondering if Snell doesn't still sign with the Yankees. Cashman keeps talking about them open to signing pitching. These waiver wire deals can't be that.

Rodon's velocity was well up already compared to this time last spring. Hopefully, that is encouraging news.
