Normally OBP isn't a really exciting stat. But every once in a while someone comes along that is so good that each at bat the question is asked of the pitcher "Can you get him out?" and invariably the answer is no.

I believe Soto has a bases loaded intentional walk in his future.

Observation of the day:

Juan Soto has walked more times (119) so far in 2021 than Albert Pujols ever did in a single season (115 max in 2009 -- MVP season).

it's good for the game to see him hit. we want to see him hit, the fans who paid lots of money to go to the game want to see him hit. marlins have nothing to play for.

On the other hand 111 mph liners arent safe for any infielder. Maybe marlins just dont want anyone hurt? Almost took out sandy last night with (what could have been tragic) line drive off his knee.
