Can’t get my screen shot to load but ran 3 miles this morning at a 7:43/mile pace! Pretty excited about that after I took a few days off to rest my back

Have your ever looked at how many total carbs you consume in a day? This has been the hardest part as you crave carbs.

What do you drink? I pretty much only drink water everyday

Do you eat late at night? I try not to eat anything at all after 8pm and don't eat until 9am. Seems to have helped.

Do you go for walks everyday? Helps on days you don't work out. Like an hour walk

How often do you work out? I try to do 3-4 times a week because I'm lazy
235 when we first started this thread February last year. Got down to 197 at my lowest. Now hovering around 210-215. Crazy how much I lost for me. Need the gym to open back up to get back in a better rhythm. But still things that can be done n

Good job guys! Since I have been in lockdown - my eating habits have changed. Cooking more instead of going out means better food and smaller portions. I am down a few pounds in the past few weeks. Slowly getting back to exercising a bit as well. I essentially have an extra hour and half of free time with no commute.

We are all doing are part to flatten our own curves.

When I found out people with a BMI over 40 are more likely to die from coronavirus.

Bumping this. I’ve been dealing with an inflamed nerve in my back so I’ve only been walking for a few weeks. This is my running comeback

Nice job Anthony, keep it up and get well.

This past Saturday I decided to run 8 miles to see how it would go. I haven't run that far since March 2019, and I've been topping out at 5m for a total of 71m this year .

I knocked it out at a 8:01 pace but man did it hurt.

I'm so full of excuses why I don't get in shape, it's terrible.

February of last year I was just over 350 pounds. Probably even more before that but the highest I ever weighed myself was 375 a few years before that.

Down to 209 right now. It’s amazing what eating right and staying moderately active will do. Even in the last couple months with no gym I’ve been able to lose another 6 pounds. I went to the gym about 5 days a week before this crap happened so it was tough adjusting at first but I bought a house in January with 5 acres to maintain so that has made it much easier to get outside and work.

Impressive man. Congrats. Thats real life changing stuff.

In high school and college I was always around 200 lbs. Weight room junkie athlete.

Post college I always held 220 pretty well.

Stepped on the scale the beginning of quarantine at 233. Was an eye opener for me as I havent been in the gym a while and knew my lifts aren't what they were. We snagged a Peleton in Feb (well my wife wanted one--I had no intention of using) I now blast out 20-45 minute rides almost daily, and have a weight room set up as well that I try to get lifts in 3 times a week.

4/6 is when I started pretty hardcore, 217 this week. I dont have the diet totally cleaned up yet. My biggest wins are no soda (lots of water and Gatorade Zero), really cut back on sweets, and chips. Hope to continue the healthy trends when I get back on the road with work.

I'm thinking quarantine last till at least June where I am, so I am hoping to come back out at 205....which was my program weight my last year of college baseball.

Thanks guys. I was curious how it would go once the gyms closed in March but it has shown me that I can still at least maintain where I am even if I can only make it to the gym 3 days a week instead of the old 5-7 I did for about a year.

If you’re reading threads like this thinking you wish you could change something, you can. All you have to do is is start. That’s the only “hard” part IMO. Just have to realize it’s worth the life style change to be healthy. I still eat plenty of carbs, pizza about once a week and have had Girl Scout cookies every single day since March haha. Everything can be done in moderation. Just have to get in the groove.

Quarantine in an apartment has been rough. Been doing a bit of fasting to jump start things and the gym re-opens on Monday.

Sounds about similar to my weight. What finally caused me to lose weight is that I spent a lot of money over the past two years on new clothes that I needed because my weight ballooned. New suits, sports coats and work clothes will do that to you. I am also going to be the best man at my friend's wedding in November (likely moving the date there) so I want to not be at this weight for the wedding.

I had a stomach virus at the end of January and weighed myself and I was 375. I stayed around 370-ish until the pandemic hit. After I started eating from home and not working, my weight came down and I'm now at 345. I still need to get outside and do the exercising but I ended up with a lot of in-home projects I was working on and keeping up with things remotely. I'm also helping my grandmother keep up with some things around her house and doing errands for her since she is staying home in all of this.

The other key was starting to drink water. I drink water all of the time now unless it's a glass of juice with breakfast, and on Sunday, my mother has family dinner and I'll have a soda in the afternoon and tea for dinner.

Heading back to work part-time this past week, I spiked with having lunch out, but if I make the better choice with lunch out (or start making my own lunches) it will be better. Carbs are the key.

Once life takes it full swing back, making sure I stay grounded and leave time to eat at home still. Or if I need to have dinner out, make sure I bring lunch.

I have a question for anyone in here that lost a significant amount of weight. At what point did you start to buy a new wardrobe?

I'm down about 70lbs since January and in an ideal world I have about another 100 to go. Since I've been at home so much lately, all I ever wear are gym shorts and t-shirts. Well I went out this past weekend and most of my clothes are comically big on me now. Obviously I'm pleased with where I've come but it does suck to have to buy all new clothes. I do have some stuff from when I was lighter but most of it is not stuff that I would want to wear now.

So my dilemma is do buy new clothes now while also accepting that I'll potentially have to do this again 6 months/ a year down the road? Or do I wear clothes that are multiple sizes too big until I get down to a weight I see myself staying near for a while.

Ha I still need to buy all new clothes. I have very few that actually fit right. Just get yourself some cheap stuff that works and fits good for the time being.

I’m finally at the point now where I’m in a 34/36 pant and Large/XL shirt so am going to start buying some stuff soon. I’m a cheap ass about clothes. Don’t like spending very much so I think that’s part of the reason I never bought anything new.

It's been a roller coaster ride for me as weight always has been. I got real serious though after my Dad unexpectly passed away at 60 from a massive heart attack. I know his diet had a lot to do with it and it scared me straight as I had climbed to 260+ (I had been down as low to 203 before) and knew I had to do something about it. I was doing really well, got back down to about 225 in a few months, but unfortunately during that time, I got real sick, had an unrelenting massive headache that would literally never go away. Had so many tests done, and couldn't get a diagnosis. They finally diagnosed me with New Daily Persistent Headache and basically it's a trial and error with meds. I couldn't even go to work it was so bad, I was literally in bed every day from basically October-February. Ended up having to quit my job because of it. I think just a combination of my Dad dying and other stuff going on just snowballed and might have been a factor of my condition. I finally seem to have found a med that has at the very least has made the headache mild (I still have it, but can function a bit better now, even can go on walks and go outside and stuff) so once again trying to get back on track. Just the overall situation of my Dad, having to quit my job, I just lost motivation and turned to food again. Not making excuses, I own up to it, but ready to get back on track one day at a time

When did you realize you are too fat and you've had enough?

When you realize you’re too lazy to clean your pool and need a robot to clean your pool so you can get exercise.

pretty impressive! One thing I hate the most is running lol! I used to play lots of basketball in the younger days lol so didn't need to run much - nowadays running a mile or mile and a half is so tedious.. I been running one day and doing weight training one day - let's just say not looking forward to the running days even at pace of 10:30/mile...
