Because it would've been numbered as a regular card in the set and not a prospect numbering, which would make a it a rookie card

Exactly. Which is why they are now at the bottom of the Hudson River.

Interesting, looks like on the set checklist it was under prospect and not the rookies and vet section.

Yes, but the numbering was still in-sequence with the rookies and vets. It would have been a messy situation. You would preferably want a whole new sequence of numbers for them that start with BP-1, etc.

Which is how every other bowman product has been.

Walker is crushing it so far this spring.

Can't wait to watch him play at Busch for many years to come.

I’ve been a DC3 stan, but now starting to think he’s the odd man out. Walker has to be on the opening day roster.

There’s no need. The early comments were with respect to his potential as a hobby prospect, he’s already met or surpassed those expectations regardless of how good or bad his mlb career goes.

If the early takes were about what kind of pro the end product would be, then we would be waiting for years to get an answer. When people say he can’t be a good hobby prospect because of the team he’s on, they’ve been proven wrong and there is no debating that.

Default Jordan Walker's Bowman potential is fascinating.

Not only is this great for Cards fans and holders of his cards but the bowman chrome market overall.
It’s akin to a giant power ball lottery jackpot fueling people to drive across multiple states and wait in line for their shot at the Yahtzee payoff.
Topps recent RC holdback tendencies only help too. Although it seems likely he makes the team out of camp, making him the series 2 SP Ronnie/Tatis/ Jrod poster boy. If for some reason he doesn’t you can bet he’d be 2024 s1 Wander -like bellcow. Either way, they win.

2 HR today, but it's against Washington, so he could dominate the high school ranks.

Burleson is also ahead of Walker IMO. Polished college bat.
