Not even a week later and it seems like the hype is dead for this. Star Wars, you used to be beautiful, what happened?

The Starship has sailed for Star Wars. Was awesome 15 years ago and glad I experienced it back then.

Right there with Lee Jung-Jae. Seems like a lot of big names haven't popped up. This is why pricing hobby so high sucks because people are much less likely to open, which means singles stay hidden away forever.

Well I decided to get 8 blasters from fanatics when they had them. Couldnt get any hobby at the time and figured last years wasnt too horrible.
But this years, ugh, its been a bloodbath.
1 #card to 150. Thats it. Everything else more or less base. I thought my expectations going in were well in check , but obviously not low enough. I like the looks of the cards, but oh boy, retails feeling barren. Think im done now with it.
Anyone else get similar results?

I haven’t actually opened any but when I heard they were available on Target earlier I did a little research by watching the results of a 3-case blaster break. I would have been pleased with 17 of the 120 boxes for $30 a pop so I decided the odds were not in my favor if I had purchased the max of 2. I passed. I’ll start buying singles in a couple of weeks when folks have there break cards in hand.

I've got several Antiquities autos and I anticipate I'll continue working on that.

The chrome just doesn't do it for me, especially at the inflated entry fee.

Edit---the sticker autos don't help the appeal of Chrome either

I have such major regrets not buying boxes on ebay right after the release when they were still "reasonably" priced. Who knows what boxes are selling for now. I can't look.

Yeah I got in on a few before they hit $4k... They are asking $5k now. Time to buy singles.
Singles are drying up but I'm snagging a few.

I paid $280 per box today at my LCS. The first batch were $200 on release day.

Contrary to many comments in here, I love this year's product. I've done better with it compared to last year.

It's really frustrating. I usually never do breaks but joined a lot of Sol breaks and the only auto I've seen pulled was the Indara/Sol super dual.

Were they character slot breaks? Because that would be a crazy random to run

Consider yourself very lucky to get a # card to 150. These blaster odds are horrible. You have to hope for one of the Galactic Graffiti cards, which are 1 in 20 or so blasters. Otherwise, you're only going to get the raywaves and prisms in the vast majority of blasters. $30 for basically a pile of base isn't worth it unless you just want a bunch of obscure character "debut" cards.

Sad to see them move all of the best cards to hobby and breaker formats, which most of us just cannot afford. I used to be fun to open packs yourself. Now we're all reduced to buying singles.

I think the raywaves are really well done and at least in 2023 & 2024 it did seem like there were enough people making sets to make them worth something.

But yeah after 40 box cases of blasters bottomed out on 2023, I bought some to break and man you could go half a case or more without hitting ANYTHING which was just shocking.

Should have blasters coming today and I plan to break and post. If the raywaves look nice, I might buy more when I see them at stores even if I don't hit anything.

Side note but Star Wars: Starfighter is actually in production, like, it's a real movie with tangible sets and costumes. Cast looks solid as hell with Ryan Gosling, Amy Adams, Matt Smith, Mia Goth, and others so maybe we see some of them pop up in sets in the future once it's out (2027). Actually excited for this.

Cards and autographs might be 100% virtual by then.

I envision a world where there aren't even base cards, it's just Instant Rips where all you get is the hits. Whole hobby is just gross and slimy now.

If you think a virtual autograph of Bruno Mirabel is going to sell epacks, you're wrong. Only hard signed physical copies held by Bruno will get me to bring out big money

Broke 18 blasters, hit a Yoda Comicfractor, a stranger graffiti, an Amy Allen auto, a couple shimmer sepia refractors? No cards in the entire break were numbered but feel lucky to hit a comicfractor and graffiti. Unless the two big hits sell at my asking prices, gonna sit the rest of this one out.

The raywaves really suck compared to the last two years'

I am told these are due in Sunday/Monday so contact your local(ish) store to see if they are carrying them. The Portlandia stores are scheduled to have them in so I should be breaking several. My LCS price is at $325 for Hobby box and I cannot do it.

Good Luck to all!
