I'm sure the deal is pretty much already done, and he is coming this week for his physical. I highly doubt they would invest as much money as they did already only to not sign him. I know they would get that money back if they didn't, but I would be completely shocked if they didn't agree with him. Saw in one place that he could get a deal around 5 years, $30 million. I would be alright with the $30 million, but the 5 years scares me is he struggles with his strikeouts. I would much rather pay him more per year for a 3 or 4 year deal. My guess is the final deal is around 4 years, $27 million, which I would be totally fine with. He has the potential to be a 25-30 HR guy, which would be a nice addition to any lineup.

Had a ton of fun at the Justin Morneau appearance at Fan HQ yesterday, very cool that he continues to come here and do so much for local charities even after we traded him. Here is what I came away with!

Also had some pretty good luck in the past couple weeks selling cards from Topps BUNT, HUDDLE, and Star Wars Card Trader and put the money towards this PC card. Can't beat selling digital cards that were acquired for free and turning it into this!

Yeah I would be surprised if we don't sign him as well. I'm just nervous it will be Nishioka all over again

Nice stuff!! Someday I will make it to the coat drive. Want to go so bad, but so much going on. Justin is a great guy

What has been selling well for you in the Topps apps? I haven't been able to move much lately. Granted, I haven't put a lot of effort into it recently either

Got lucky and pulled a couple signatures in HUDDLE (Aaron Rodgers and Adrian Peterson Variant), BUNT has just been some leftover postseason inserts for about $2-3 each, and in Star Wars I just save up my coins for a couple weeks and then when they release those guaranteed Illustrated packs for like 500,000 coins I buy one of those and can usually sell the card for $10-20 depending on the variation I pull.

Gotcha. I might start putting some more effort into making some sales again. I've been collecting my coins every day, but have been slacking with buying packs and listing anything worth listing. Would be nice to get some free money rolling in before the holidays

Yeah I get lazy sometimes with listing cards that I get right away, but even $2-3 cards can add up and it's nice considering it is a free app as long as you aren't buying coins.

That's what I figured, but I had to double check since that sounds so low. Seems like a great deal to me

Pretty low for what I had in my mind, especially with International signings.

When you take into account his posting fee it makes the cost of acquiring him a bit higher. It's good to see he will be at Twinsfest. The foreign players aren't always a guarantee.

Has anyone heard if Hunter accepted a position with the Twins? I thought I had heard some rumors. Hoping he attends Twinsfest again this year.

I would be surprised if Torii joined the club this year. I believe he's said he could use some time off from baseball. Could be wrong tho. I would love to have him back with the team at some point!

No chance he'll sign other than being a special assistant or a rover. He retired to not be in the traveling grind, so coaching makes zero sense now. Sounds like he wants to watch his kids play D1 ball and more family time.

I bet if Torii would be involved in ST, would be a rover like how Carew does or along those lines.

I wonder if we're back to it being more likely to trade Plouffe again with the Park deal being official

The rumor I saw on twitter mentioned something like a special assistant not a member of the coaching staff. Basically they'd pay him to go to ST for a couple days and Twinsfest kind of like Carew/Oliva

I would be surprised if the Twins didn't make an effort to trade Plouffe. The Angels would be a good fit with a guy like Cam Bedrosian and something else coming back in return.

Right, only thing that makes sense. He'll be at Twins Fest, I can almost guarantee they would want him to go.

It'd be sick to get him, but I have a feeling his line will be long with all the hype around him. I might try still
