So is Embiid trolling us all complaining about the refs?

Well, huh. Have I basically been right about the first round other than BKN falling well short of expectations not just my own and being just wrong about the amount of playoff experience for BOS?

I'll have to see more of BOS to tell but we'll have our best test when the final four teams actually play one another. I'm still saying MIL outlasts BOS in the 2nd round and like last year's playoffs it could be the biggest series of the eastern rounds. I'll bump BOS's chances up a bit based on more recent developments (but all those injuries already, huh? ), I guess they've taken BKN's place in the top 4 team probabilities

PHO and GSW - around 30% each, MIL around 22-23%, BOS around 12-15%, um, I guess around 5% for MIA, 3-4% for PHI, 1% someone else?

It’s been chalk or a tied series so far. I don’t know how you’re so damn good. Maybe you can explain it to me in 1,000 words or more.

I take it that you're clever. But are you wise, sir? Or at least loving or pursuing wisdom? see my profile, follow the philosophy leads and you'll find my blog, and there you'll find appropriately lengthy explanations on stuff. As anyone who follows me knows (I tend to think that I hang on my every word, especially when I'm high as a kite on some primo dankbud like right now), I use (or at least aim to use) as many or as few words as is necessary and fitting to cover all the relevant bases in one shot, and maybe impart some learning in the process. I don't know if that makes me a Value Over Replacement Poster leader in this group (so many impressive performers to compete with - Tallboy, ninjacookies, drob8, KhalDrogo, CurryOverLeBron, whoever else is memorable). I'm not about using so many words. I'm here to win lol

(Strain this time is called Triple Burger, GMO crossed with itself like 3 times, it's not so much a buzzy high but seems to work ok)

(1) MIA vs. (8) CLE - MIA wins

And the thing is, it's making the product much less attractive. The pace of games is slowing down, and games are taking a lot longer to complete.

I've pretty much established a policy of not watching any non-Warriors game (they're my team) until there are 5 minutes left in the 4th quarter.

There's a reason why there isn't a free throw shooting contest at the All-Star Game

Just don't call non-shooting fouls unless a potential or actual change of possession is involved....

Hell yeah! Break his arm but no change of possession, put some Tussin on it and play on. I like it

The games have been very physical and the officials are letting them play, for the most part.

The difference is in the amount of falling down and flopping has exploded. And NBA officials are so scrutinized that they often assume calls so a lot of these flops/flails are being called. They should be ignored and everyone would be much better off.

There is truth that from a data-first perspective small sample size noise is an important thing to be humble about in general, and in the post-season specifically, but that doesn't mean we don't use what we've got, only that we recognize the larger uncertainty range we're operating in, and that an observation-first perspective is going to have a greater advantage than it does with greater sample.

Should have been no foul more like Caruso having his face hit Carters hand

All I wanted coming in today was a semi close game and Grayson Allen not killing it.

Instead, they are gonna lose by 30 and he's gonna get another playoff high.

Blow the whole team up.

Grayson Allen ripping the hearts out of Bulls fans once again.

They HATE him with a passion and the kid is lethal behind the arc. 9-12 (75%) through 6 quarters @ Chicago. The 2 games without Middleton.

The stuff Caruso gets away with because he "plays hard".

For the record he does play hard, but he also gets away with stuff.

Wasn't meaning it would change the outcome of this series at all lol. I like Giannis, but he loves using that shoulder, and when he doesn't use the shoulder, he likes to hook defenders to move them out of the way.

Agreed. Pretty sad that they had some momentum after the game 2 win and the Middleton injury, and turned that into 2 blowout losses at home.

So pretty much what every NBA player does on offense to gain an advantage?

DDR doing DDR things.

41 point explosion in Game 2.

Games 1,3 and 4 - he MIGHT combine for 41 total.

18 - 11 - so far 6 (35 so far) I'm guessing he gets at least 6 more... but you gotta show up the rest of the series.

Goal-tending calls should be automatically reviewed. Not like there are that many per game.
