I am not huge Ohtani fan nor am I following nearly as closely as most people in this thread.

I am an Angels employee. We are at a complex. Possibly Spring Training.
Sho's room is across from mine. I run into him.

Sho: I am going to an aquarium.

Exactly. So that would get Ohtani into the playoffs on a regular basis which aligns with his stated goal to win a World Series. He doesn’t get that if he returns to the Angels.

Saw a video of Sho after signing with the Angels. The reporter asked his agent Nez Balelo if joining a winning team was a priority at the time. Agent said it never came up with him and Sho.

Certainly things can change and they may have but it is food for thought.

Sho might not do what most other players would.

Yes, I hope Shohei stops dicking around and choose the Dodgers already. That's the best fit / place for him to be for him to be comfortable and have a chance at winning multiple world series. Why he's debating on Toronto is beyond me. He should hurry up and make a final decision instead of holding everyone else up and stringing everyone along for the ride.

Toronto is perfect landing spot - East Coast of Anaheim where he gets paid his lifetime money without having to deal with Los Angeles or New York media.

He might just make the difference for a Wild Card contender like Toronto has been.

He's holding up other free agency athletes and teams because they also have designs on Yamamoto and other players as well.

Basically, for example, if the Dodgers cannot get Shohei, they will try and go all in on Yamamoto as well as other available marque players but if they get Shohei, then they probably will drop out on Yamamoto due to the cost of both players. So that means other teams that also want Yamamoto will also have to sit and wait on this as well. And Yamamoto will also sit and wait as well.

So the entire flow gets delayed.
