So.....have the best offense and get your ring!

Oh , and have some 5 plus ERA guys ready to dominate as well

What were the odds Josh Sborz closes out the WS this year

It seemed like pitching was more pedestrian this year. League ERA was 4.33 this year -- up from 3.97 last year.

Must be. Apparently 2 WS MVP is better than 10 regular season MVPs. And 10 RS MVPs would be a lock for the HOF (unless you cheat like Bonds).

How many players back it up in crunch time better than Seager? If Ohtani wasn’t in another world this year, he would be MVP. He does it all. Ice cold killer.

He needs like 5 more regular seasons like this year. Odds are against it.

His postseason WPA before tonight's game was only .45. He's no Kyle Schwarber...

(That's sarcasm)

Welp, it sucks that the Diamondbacks couldn't win it, but if someone was going to beat them, I'm happy it was Texas.

Congrats to the Rangers! They waited 63 yrs for their first World Series win.

I listened to the game all the way up to the 8th, then I engage in conversation at work for 15 minutes and it's no longer 1-0 but 3-0. Listened just in time to hear Simeon hit a two run shot.

I was in shock as I realized it's basically over. Wow man. Baseball history.

Tough luck for the Dbacks but congrats to them for such an awesome month of Sept and postseason. They were exciting all year.

I guess we found out Corey Seager was the real “Mr. October”, not Bryce Harper..

2 World Series MVPs are actually equal to 14.7 regular season MVPs, but we just round that up to 15 for simplicity's sake.

I'm assuming you think Steve Pearce is better than Mike Trout then? Since his one WS MVP is worth more than all of Trout's regular season MVPs? That 5 game sample (really 2 games, since he was 0-4 in the first 3 games) really tells you how good a player is

2 hot games is way more impressive than 7 full seasons of being great. GTFOH

One thing fox may want to consider since they'll never get rid of the stupid on field interviews, is replacing Verducci and Rosenthal with someone younger and more interesting. The 55+ crowd is the only one reliably tuning in regardless.

I should be clear that there was hyperbole involved in the original creation of my MVP comparative value scale (MCVSBFE-7 in the manual.)

Pearce is not better than Mike Trout, but has been more successful when it really counted. Is there luck involved in getting into that big spot?
Sure, plenty.

And did Steve Pearce carry that team to the World Series? Or did he just have a couple really good games after going 0-for in games 1 and 2 and only appearing in a pinch hit role in game 3?
