Anyone ever sell to “upgrade”? Did you ever buy back what you sold?

Years ago, I sold a bowman chrome and a Fleer autographics to buy a Leaf Limited.

I miss the chrome and the autographics, never bought them back, but of course the limited is awesome!

I want to buy a fleer auto graphics. It’s been graded by psa and it’s a new cert. but I’ve heard of psa grading fake ones. It’s making me hesitant. Any advice or suggestions?

There’s only so much that can be done! Maybe avoid the new cert one if you’re worried about it? As well as I’d rather buy from a reputable seller than any red flag accounts, like a brand new account selling an expensive item or one with no reviews/feedback. Reputable doesn’t mean 100 percent real, but better chance than sketchy seller

What are some of the safer rookie autos in terms of authenticity you guys recommend buying? PSA or BGS graded?

Those are the two biggest names. However still doesn’t mean 100 percent real but at the same time what’s the alternative? For something you didn’t have signed yourself

A high percentage of the time PSA/BGS cards are legit though

I see! As far as rookie autographs go, they were all supposedly signed by Brady before being released. So they’re all supposed to be authentic. That’s why some of them either have a place for Brady to sign it (see press pass auto compared to regular press pass) or a “stamp” on the card saying that it’s an authentic auto

Notice how his autos from 2000 look different compared to basically any other year?

After market is where it gets tricky, as well as authenticity goes way down. That’s when a card is signed AFTER it has been released in packs. So any Brady rookie or anyone, if it’s not an auto issued card and it’s signed, that’s an after market auto

A few Brady rookie examples, skybox impact, pacific paramount, fleer ultra, fleer tradition, black Diamond etc, if any of those are signed then it’s an after market auto. Anything not a pack issued auto

As far as your original question goes, any Brady auto from 2000 is supposed to have been signed by him

I believe someone has a thread on here about the fake Fleer Autos. Also, I'd be a bit more confident on a new cert with the info out there but surely do you homework.

Can you show any examples of fake ones?

I've seen a raw fake 'silver' autographics on ebay pop up a few times, but it was obvious and it "sold" for a very low price so no one bought it. I haven't heard of any fakes being graded but I'd like to see.

The one I was looking at ended up selling. I hesitated.

I’m torn on which rookie to get. Out of his college uniform rookie autos I can’t decide. Press pass, rookie preview or fleer autographics

Idk why that sounds so familiar! I might have seen it too. Is that the one where the serial number is 12/? I definitely remember seeing a fake Brady rookie that’s 12/

Pacific auto BGS 10 auto/8.5 on eBay. Supposedly /200 but it’s one of those ones that aren’t numbered on the card. Any guesses? I’ll say give or take a few hundred, but around $4,000..?

This was sort of mentioned earlier, but what are you hoping for this season and beyond? I think it would be awesome if from here on out we see a qb at the most get 2-3 rings. Just so there’s never even a GOAT debate like there is in multiple other sports.

Lots of great qbs playing with no ring, so definitely possible! As far as options/possibilities go. Then of course all the guys not even playing in the NFL yet.

If Mahomes has an amazing season AND KC wins it all, there will be serious GOAT conversations again, yet this time hell, a lot more would switch to him over brady, card wise too.

Since of course it isn’t just about rings. Since lots say Lebron > Jordan

A first round exit by KC would be awesome. Followed by a few seasons of some “other” guys. Grand scheme of it all, three rings isn’t really close to 7. That’s like someone with 0 trying to tie Montana lol
