I tried once and didn't get a physical version. Thought about doing a second one, but by the time I went in to do it there were 24 left and the remaining redemptions were in carts, so it didn't let me buy.

First goal was very nice team goal. Great entry pass and layoff to Smith. Overall, pretty underwhelmed by US through 60 minutes, though.

There very bearable. Mid week vs Dutch will tell a lot.

TBH, I really don’t like their makeup this cup. A few questionable selections imo.

Second goal was definitely close, but I think the player on the original header (Morgan?) was barely onside - just the arm appeared to be past the defender, and the arm is not considered part of the body when determining offside.

I agree that the team played pretty sloppy. Not sure if they were just being a bit careless because they were basically guaranteed to win the game, if they just aren't as good this time around, or if Vietnam's hard fouls plus not being intimidated set the tone and the team was thrown off a bit. Vietnam also packed the box whenever we got anywhere close, so it was going to be difficult to score no matter what. But a lot of passes were more than a touch too far, and we didn't do well controlling 50/50s IMO.

The next match will definitely be very telling.

Rodman seemed to get more and more visibly frustrated as the game went on. Not a good look.

This is an odd thing to say since she scored two goals and had an assist, but I don’t think Smith played all that well. Her assist was her best moment in the game. Neither of her goals was the result of anything special she did. She held the ball way too long in most instances she had it, missed the opportunity to play the ball to teammates on several occasions, and mishit a number of passes. She absolutely deserves credit for converting on the two goals and the third goal was entirely attributable to her speed, effort, and ball into Horan so she certainly made an impact. And, she did put pressure on the defense throughout the game so I don’t want to be overly critical. But, I do think the stat line is a bit misleading.

Let’s not forget this isn’t the usual USWNT squad. This is the passing the torch team to players like Rodman, Smith, Sanchez, Thompson, Girma. So tbh this is prob the best cup for them to be upset.

That’s not going to happen. She is going to start or be first off the bench on name only.

Love Alyssa Thompson and sky is the limit for her, but watching her talking to the coach on instructions I thought she was going throw up from nerves. I still don’t know why she was chosen over say Hatch.

I should think most 18 year olds would be nervous in that situation but I thought she played well with her limited minutes. Her speed is next level.

I would think as a coach looking to the future it's likely more important to bring an 18 year old that could likely be a staple of the team for years to come and get experience over an 28 year old that is going to get limited minutes anyway.

Rapinoe shouldn't be there so if Hatch should have replaced anyone it's her. She looked like trash and that just isn't my biases there as I can't stand her. The entire promo before the game was 50% Rapinoe it seemed and her announcement of her retirement to make it all about her was not unexpected from a narcissist.

The only bad thing about this WC so far is her plastered all over the place.

It sounds to me like the problem is you, not Rapinoe or the promotion of the game. If someone gets under your skin that much for no real reason, then you should probably just get some fresh air outside when they are on your TV.

If it's her 'politics' that grind your gears, that shouldn't influence anything when she's on the pitch and playing football. I mean, she's globally the most famous and recognised US female player probably ever, and she's paved the way for players like Rodman and Smith. Of course she's going to be everywhere.
