He’s got two working knees so he’s already off to a good lead.

CeeDee Lamb is now added to the list for big contracts for WRs. 4 years, 136 million. These contracts are crazy. Aiyuk and Chase up next?

Serious question: Did the Cowboys' Super Bowl hopes get better with that contract?

I mean yes, if it you say Lamb is on the team or somewhere else. They still have to pay Parsons and maybe Dak. Those are going to make them pinch pennies elsewhere. Players like Lawrence, Hooker, Martin won't be back after this year. So in that sense, this is the year for their run. Dak is the big question mark, since QB means so much. They could really use a great QB on a rookie deal to offset these big contracts over the next few years.

That's sort of what I am getting at. Sure, CeeDee is a good player. They got smoked by the Pack in the Wild Card last year and one could make the case they are not a better team this year even with CeeDee and moving forward this will be a problem.

This applies to Aiyuk, as well. Good player. But overpaying a wideout with on a team with former and current All-pros at WR, TE, RB?

I would not write that check.

Oh, I am fully in the camp that paying any WR 30 million a year is silly. I get these are playmakers and all. I would rather spend all that money along the trenches. That is where the game is won. Also, WRs are all over the place in the draft and free agency. You can fill out a WR room with 3 Wrs or 2 WRs and a TE that are all really good and really put pressure on the defense where you can't shade anybody.

Edit to add: With QB salaries now getting to 60 million a year, I don't think teams will just keep signing for a QB/WR combo taking up 40% of the cap.

Based on how contracts go, you’d think he’d get more than Jefferson. Everyone wants to be the next highest paid guy to keep the train going.

That is his job. Make stupid takes so people will talk about it. I doubt he even believes or cares about his takes. Just try to get hits.

Clifford was 22 of 43, 51.2% completion pct, 1 TD 1 Int in preseason. Makes sense. Too bad 2023 product was full of his autos.

Man really thought he’d be the franchise guy. . He was very raw. Drafted too high. Maybe a new home is what he needs. Didn’t help Lance though.

It doesn't help when the guy sucks.

Willis was a guy who was likely to be cut and could not win the backup job in Tenn. Clifford and Pratt were not going to be a good backup but seems like they really did not improve much with Willis. He's not a good passer and if he had to play it would be a lot of QB run/scrambles. But I guess Lafluer thinks that he can probably get something out of him and for a 7th for a guy with 2 years left on his rookie deal figures it's worth a gamble.

Where is ebcollectibles? He loves Malik Willis! He'll be quite the old chop for the Packers.

He was a generally good dood, but his mental health was not the best. I hope he’s doing well.

He would have been better than JJ even without the injury. Get your maize and blue glasses off.

Better or worse than hip problems?
